An increasing number of Americans including doctors, scientists, engineers, public advocates, and elected officials oppose 5G (see 1. 2, 3, 4). The Department of Defense also opposes it because they say it really-really-really threatens national security (see 1, 2, 3, 4). They’ve actually been saying that since last year. Did you know? So why on Earth would Americans want to deliberately threaten our national security? Recently, some Congress members finally stepped in about DoD opposition and there was a hearing.
Thanks to Defense One for publishing an article that asks “What if the Pentagon Skipped 5G?”
The answer to the headaches and security risks of next-generation mobile communications just might be a technological leap past them.
It’s round one of a WWE-equivalent policy fight, and the Federal Communications Commission has beat the Pentagon. Against DoD objections, the FCC approved a license modification for Ligado Networks to establish a new 5G communications service last month. And while some Trump administration senior officials hailed this as a boon to U.S. firms vying to build the world’s 5G networks, others rightly argue that it imperils national security.
The solution — next-gen networking without Huawei and without undermining GPS — may lie in yet another nascent technology. O-RAN, a software-driven network protocol that promises even faster and more secure mobile communications, is attracting private and Congressional interest. But if the Pentagon wants to hasten O-RAN’s arrival, and head off disruption, it needs to act, and fast.
The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) is supposed to protect the public by regulating the telecom industry. They were considered to be a corrupt and “captured” agency before Trump was elected. They have become much scarier and opportunistic during his administration. Despite opposition and warnings, they are using the pandemic as an excuse to speed up 5G installation (see 1, 2. 3, 4, 5). This includes launching tens of thousands of satellites with millions of antennas to blast 5G and WiFi at us from space (see 1, 2, 3)!
5G opposition in the U.S. and worldwide continues to grow because of risks to biological health (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), cybersecurity (see 1, 2), environmental health (see 1, 2, 3, 4), privacy (see 1, 2), and more. Many cities and countries have taken action against it including banning it, issuing moratoriums, passing ordinances, etc. (see 1, 2).
A long list of highly respected people and organizations – including the Department of Defense – continues to say 5G isn’t worth it. The FCC continues to ignore them. What’s wrong with this picture?

Pennsylvania Smart Meter Awareness (PASMA) just issued a second Press Release, in as many days, regarding astounding information from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Agency on Research for Cancer (IARC) regarding the radiofrequency radiation that AMI Smart Meters (SMs) emit. Guess what? Those Radioelectromagnetic Fields (RFs) coming off SMs are classified as “possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B).” Holy cow! Who knew? Did you?
Anyone who’s recently received a new electric or water meter better check to see if it’s an AMI digital SM because, if it is, you are getting RF Group/class 2B possible carcinogens being transmitted into your homes minute-by-minute! Utility customers, who are in-the-know about the WHO/IARC information and have refused SMs, are being threatened with power cutoffs, even though their electric bills are paid in full.
The Pennsylvania state legislature IS at fault for this grave error in judgment in passing former HB2200 into PA Act 129 of 2008 since members did not take into consideration that they were mandating constituents be subject to something in the same carcinogenic classification as mercury, lead and benzene!
With that being said, Pennsylvania state legislators need to pass corrective legislation immediately—as other states should too—to allow for legal opt-outs, and better still, for total dismantling of Smart Meters on any utility company meters. Go back to RF-free analog meters!
With the current rate of cancer in the USA escalating daily, Pennsylvania citizens should not have to live in fear of contracting, nor have 24/7/365 exposure to a class 2 carcinogen from their electric/water meters and through their house wiring. Below is the Press Release PASMA sent out regarding RFs as Group 2B carcinogens.
Consumers, customers, parents, Pennsylvania state legislators, PA Public Utility Commission, PECO, and other utility companies: please check out these references regarding EMFs/RFs and microwaves:

Institute for Geopathology SA http://geopathology-za.wikidot.com/barrie-trower
Lastly, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine published its “Recommendations Regarding Electromagnetic and Radiofrequency Exposure” wherein they state:
The AAEM recommends that physicians consider patients’ total electromagnetic exposure in their diagnosis and treatment, as well as recognition that electromagnetic and radiofrequency field exposure may be an underlying cause of a patient’s disease process.
AAEM goes on to list health problems associated with RF/electromagnetic/microwave frequencies. Pennsylvania Board of Health, please take note, too.

IARC CLASSIFIES RFs POSSIBLY CARCINOGENIC TO HUMANS
The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), in a press release, classified Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields (RFs) as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B).
That classification was based upon increased risk for glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer associated with wireless (cell) phone use, and RFs which also are emitted from AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) Smart Meters, which PECO, an Exelon company, and other utilities in Pennsylvania currently are replacing vintage analog meters with.
The above designation was determined by a Working Group of 31 scientists from 14 countries at the IARC meeting in Lyon, France, in May 2011 that had assembled to assess the potential carcinogenic hazards from RF fields, including those from wireless communications, which includes Smart Meters.
The Chairman of the Working Group, Dr. Jonathan Samet (University of Southern California, USA) stated, “The evidence, while still accumulating, is strong enough to support a conclusion and the 2B classification. The conclusion means that there could be some risk, and therefore we need to keep a close watch for a link between cell phones and cancer risk.” Add AMI Smart Meter technology.
Any agent may be classified in 2B category solely on the basis of strong evidence from mechanistic and other relevant data, according to IARC. Mercury, lead, and benzene are W.H.O. class 2Bs also!
Why did then-Governor Ed Rendell sign into law Act 129 of 2008, an apparently illegal bill the Pennsylvania State Legislature passed that mandates Pennsylvanians should be subjected to cancer-causing radiofrequency technology? It seems either utility company lobbyists were effective in Harrisburg and/or Pennsylvania legislators did not exercise due diligence; defaulted on doing responsible homework regarding AMI Smart Meters technology; and—more importantly—did not engage the Precautionary Principle to safeguard the health of Pennsylvania citizens.
PASMA is calling on both chambers of the current 2015 Pennsylvania legislative session to immediately correct Act 129 by providing and enacting Opt-Out legislation for those who do not want, fear, or have medical reasons. Citizens should NOT have AMI Smart Meters FORCED on to them and their properties. Utility companies are harassing and threatening owners with cut off service if they do not give permission to replace RF-free analog meters with RF-emitting AMI Smart Meters.
The EM-Radiation Research Trust advises W.H.O./ IARC to move RFs from class 2B to class 1!
If you would like more information about this topic, or to schedule an interview with a member of PASMA, please call Tom McCarey at 610-687-7607 or email Tom at firstname.lastname@example.org

We have all heard of the tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorists but where did the aluminum foil hat idea come from, why do people wear tin foil hats and what are its origins?
Why would someone wear an aluminum foil hat?
People wear tinfoil hats to:
- prevent extraterrestrial, governmental or secret society mind control
- prevent others from using ESP on them and
- deter EMPs and other microwave effects.
What is the oldest origin of tin foil hats?
One story states that the tin foil hat has its origins tied into the opposition of freemasonry when it began in 1717. As the story goes, non Freemasons were suspicious of the brotherhood and believed that the Mason were using forms of mind control on them. They began their own fraternity, called the “Mad Hatters” and upon learning about the protective properties of aluminum foil, they created their own hats made of this substance.
The Mad Hatters believed if you were wearing a tin foil hat, you were impervious to the mind control of the Freemasons.
What is the oldest recorded use of tinfoil hats?
The first recorded use of tin foil hats happened in 1927 as derived from a short story by Julian Huxley entitled, “The Tissue-Culture King” in which the protagonist discovers that “caps of metal foil” will block the effects of telepathy”. This was published in “The Yale Review” in April of 1926.
The following is an excerpt:
Well, we had discovered that metal was relatively impervious to the telepathic effect, and had prepared for ourselves a sort of tin pulpit, behind which we could stand while conducting experiments. This, combined with caps of metal foil, enormously reduced the effects on ourselves.
Is there any scientific basis for wearing a tin foil hat?
According to wiki:
The notion that a tin foil hat can significantly reduce the intensity of incident radio frequency radiation on the wearer’s brain has some scientific validity, as the effect of strong radio waves has been documented for quite some time.
A well-constructed tin foil enclosure would approximate a Faraday cage, reducing the amount of (typically harmless) radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation passing through to the interior of the structure.
A common high school physics demonstration involves placing an AM radio on tin foil, and then covering the radio with a metal bucket. This leads to a noticeable reduction in signal strength. The efficiency of such an enclosure in blocking such radiation depends on the thickness of the tin foil, as dictated by the skin depth, the distance the radiation can propagate in a particular non-ideal conductor. For half-millimetre-thick tin foil, radiation above about 20 kHz (i.e., including both AM and FM bands) would be partially blocked, although tin foil is not sold in this thickness, so numerous layers of tin foil would be required to achieve this effect.
The M.I.T. Tinfoil Hat Experiment
A scientific research report entitled, “On The Effectiveness of Aluminum Foil Helmets: An Empirical Study” was done in 2005 and it looked at the efficacy of three different styles of tin foil hats: The Classical, The Fez and The Centurion.
In a slight contrast to the effects of the Faraday Cage, their results found the following:
The helmets amplify frequency bands that coincide with those allocated to the US government between 1.2 Ghz and 1.4 Ghz. According to the FCC, These bands are supposedly reserved for ”radio location” (ie, GPS), and other communications with satellites. The 2.6 Ghz band coincides with mobile phone technology. Though not affiliated by government, these bands are at the hands of multinational corporations.
It requires no stretch of the imagination to conclude that the current helmet craze is likely to have been propagated by the Government, possibly with the involvement of the FCC. We hope this report will encourage the paranoid community to develop improved helmet designs to avoid falling prey to these shortcomings.
Interestingly, there was a video of this but it was removed from YouTube. Is this a conspiracy?
The M.I.T. results do not dismiss the properties and effects of the Faraday Cage but it does give some credence to the types of frequencies that foil can block and to what extent the Ghz. range is in which the tinfoil hat would be ineffective.
Tin For The Win!
In an archived article in 2007, aluminum foil hats can actually be used in defense of the Raytheon Active Denial System technology:
Save your aluminum foil “hats.” According to a technology expert who is familiar with the Raytheon Active Denial System (ADS), tested January 24 at Moody Air Force base in Georgia, the millimeter microwave directed beam weapon can be defeated by a crowd of people using aluminum- or gold-coated Mylar to conduct the beam to ground or even direct it back to the Humvee housing the ADS system. Although the Humvee is shielded, any law enforcement or military personnel standing near the Humvee would get a burning taste of their own medicine if the directed beam were reflected back to its source or to a crowd of police. In addition to aluminum or gold coated Mylar, Mylar reflective space blankets, aluminum coated windshield heat protective screens, and more sophisticated and precise corner cube retro-reflectors or Luneburg spheres can all be used to reflect the millimeter wave beam back to its source.
Regardless of whether you wear a tin foil hat or not, the history of it is quite fascinating. Now, I’m off to the store to buy some aluminum foil….

The map below comes from the Nuclear Emergency Tracking Center. It shows that radiation levels at radiation monitoring stations all over the country are elevated. As you will notice, this is particularly true along the west coast of the United States. Every single day, 300 tons of radioactive water from Fukushima enters the Pacific Ocean. That means that the total amount of radioactive material released from Fukushima is constantly increasing, and it is steadily building up in our food chain.
Ultimately, all of this nuclear radiation will outlive all of us by a very wide margin. They are saying that it could take up to 40 years to clean up the Fukushima disaster, and meanwhile countless innocent people will develop cancer and other health problems as a result of exposure to high levels of nuclear radiation. We are talking about a nuclear disaster that is absolutely unprecedented, and it is constantly getting worse. The following are 28 signs that the west coast of North America is being absolutely fried with nuclear radiation from Fukushima…
1. Polar bears, seals and walruses along the Alaska coastline are suffering from fur loss and open sores…
Wildlife experts are studying whether fur loss and open sores detected in nine polar bears in recent weeks is widespread and related to similar incidents among seals and walruses.
The bears were among 33 spotted near Barrow, Alaska, during routine survey work along the Arctic coastline. Tests showed they had “alopecia, or loss of fur, and other skin lesions,” the U.S. Geological Survey said in a statement.
2. There is an epidemic of sea lion deaths along the California coastline…
At island rookeries off the Southern California coast, 45 percent of the pups born in June have died, said Sharon Melin, a wildlife biologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service based in Seattle. Normally, less than one-third of the pups would die. It’s gotten so bad in the past two weeks that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration declared an “unusual mortality event.”
3. Along the Pacific coast of Canada and the Alaska coastline, the population of sockeye salmon is at a historic low. Many are blaming Fukushima.
4. Something is causing fish all along the west coast of Canada to bleed from their gills, bellies and eyeballs.
5. A vast field of radioactive debris from Fukushima that is approximately the size of California has crossed the Pacific Ocean and is starting to collide with the west coast.
6. It is being projected that the radioactivity of coastal waters off the U.S. west coast could double over the next five to six years.
7. Experts have found very high levels of cesium-137 in plankton living in the waters of the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the west coast.
8. One test in California found that 15 out of 15 bluefin tuna were contaminated with radiation from Fukushima.
9. Back in 2012, the Vancouver Sun reported that cesium-137 was being found in a very high percentage of the fish that Japan was selling to Canada…
• 73 percent of mackerel tested
• 91 percent of the halibut
• 92 percent of the sardines
• 93 percent of the tuna and eel
• 94 percent of the cod and anchovies
• 100 percent of the carp, seaweed, shark and monkfish
10. Canadian authorities are finding extremely high levels of nuclear radiation in certain fish samples…
Some fish samples tested to date have had very high levels of radiation: one sea bass sample collected in July, for example, had 1,000 becquerels per kilogram of cesium.
11. Some experts believe that we could see very high levels of cancer along the west coast just from people eating contaminated fish…
“Look at what’s going on now: They’re dumping huge amounts of radioactivity into the ocean — no one expected that in 2011,” Daniel Hirsch, a nuclear policy lecturer at the University of California-Santa Cruz, told Global Security Newswire. “We could have large numbers of cancer from ingestion of fish.”
12. BBC News recently reported that radiation levels around Fukushima are “18 times higher” than previously believed.
13. An EU-funded study concluded that Fukushima released up to 210 quadrillion becquerels of cesium-137 into the atmosphere.
14. Atmospheric radiation from Fukushima reached the west coast of the United States within a few days back in 2011.
15. At this point, 300 tons of contaminated water is pouring into the Pacific Ocean from Fukushima every single day.
16. A senior researcher of marine chemistry at the Japan Meteorological Agency’s Meteorological Research Institute says that “30 billion becquerels of radioactive cesium and 30 billion becquerels of radioactive strontium” are being released into the Pacific Ocean from Fukushima every single day.
17. According to Tepco, a total of somewhere between 20 trillion and 40 trillion becquerels of radioactive tritium have gotten into the Pacific Ocean since the Fukushima disaster first began.
18. According to a professor at Tokyo University, 3 gigabecquerels of cesium-137 are flowing into the port at Fukushima Daiichi every single day.
19. It has been estimated that up to 100 times as much nuclear radiation has been released into the ocean from Fukushima than was released during the entire Chernobyl disaster.
20. One recent study concluded that a very large plume of cesium-137 from the Fukushima disaster will start flowing into U.S. coastal waters early next year…
Ocean simulations showed that the plume of radioactive cesium-137 released by the Fukushima disaster in 2011 could begin flowing into U.S. coastal waters starting in early 2014 and peak in 2016.
21. It is being projected that significant levels of cesium-137 will reach every corner of the Pacific Ocean by the year 2020.
22. It is being projected that the entire Pacific Ocean will soon “have cesium levels 5 to 10 times higher” than what we witnessed during the era of heavy atomic bomb testing in the Pacific many decades ago.
23. The immense amounts of nuclear radiation getting into the water in the Pacific Ocean has caused environmental activist Joe Martino to issue the following warning…
Your days of eating Pacific Ocean fish are over.
24. The Iodine-131, Cesium-137 and Strontium-90 that are constantly coming from Fukushima are going to affect the health of those living the the northern hemisphere for a very, very long time. Just consider what Harvey Wasserman had to say about this…
Iodine-131, for example, can be ingested into the thyroid, where it emits beta particles (electrons) that damage tissue. A plague of damaged thyroids has already been reported among as many as 40 percent of the children in the Fukushima area. That percentage can only go higher. In developing youngsters, it can stunt both physical and mental growth. Among adults it causes a very wide range of ancillary ailments, including cancer.
Strontium-90’s half-life is around 29 years. It mimics calcium and goes to our bones.
25. According to a recent Planet Infowars report, the California coastline is being transformed into “a dead zone”…
The California coastline is becoming like a dead zone.
If you haven’t been to a California beach lately, you probably don’t know that the rocks are unnaturally CLEAN – there’s hardly any kelp, barnacles, sea urchins, etc. anymore and the tide pools are similarly eerily devoid of crabs, snails and other scurrying signs of life… and especially as compared to 10 – 15 years ago when one was wise to wear tennis shoes on a trip to the beach in order to avoid cutting one’s feet on all the STUFF of life – broken shells, bones, glass, driftwood, etc.
There are also days when I am hard-pressed to find even a half dozen seagulls and/or terns on the county beach.
You can still find a few gulls trolling the picnic areas and some of the restaurants (with outdoor seating areas) for food, of course, but, when I think back to 10 – 15 years ago, the skies and ALL the beaches were literally filled with seagulls and the haunting sound of their cries both day and night…
NOW it’s unnaturally quiet.
26. A study conducted last year came to the conclusion that radiation from the Fukushima nuclear disaster could negatively affect human life along the west coast of North America from Mexico to Alaska “for decades”.
27. According to the Wall Street Journal, it is being projected that the cleanup of Fukushima could take up to 40 years to complete.
28. Yale Professor Charles Perrow is warning that if the cleanup of Fukushima is not handled with 100% precision that humanity could be threatened “for thousands of years“…
Conditions in the unit 4 pool, 100 feet from the ground, are perilous, and if any two of the rods touch it could cause a nuclear reaction that would be uncontrollable. The radiation emitted from all these rods, if they are not continually cool and kept separate, would require the evacuation of surrounding areas including Tokyo. Because of the radiation at the site the 6,375 rods in the common storage pool could not be continuously cooled; they would fission and all of humanity will be threatened, for thousands of years.
Are you starting to understand why so many people are so deeply concerned about what is going on at Fukushima?
Sunflowers melt Fukushima’s nuclear “snow”
By Antoni Slodkowski
and Yuriko NakaoPosted 2011/08/19 at 1:31 am EDT
FUKUSHIMA, Japan, Aug. 19, 2011 (Reuters) — Sparks from burning strips of paper swirled into the hot summer sky, carrying the names of the dead above a temple in Fukushima where thousands of sunflowers have been planted to help fight the omnipresent radiation.
he Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant some 50 km away suffered a series of core meltdowns and explosions after the massive March 11 earthquake and tsunami knocked out cooling systems, setting off the world’s worst nuclear accident in 25 years and forcing tens of thousands from their homes.
“It is as if an invisible snow had fallen on Fukushima and continued to fall, covering the area,” said Koyu Abe, chief monk at the Buddhist Joenji temple.
“This snow, which doesn’t melt, brought a long, long winter to Fukushima.”
Some 80,000 people were forced to evacuate from a vast swathe of land around the reactor as engineers battled radiation leaks, hydrogen explosions and overheating fuel rods — and have no idea when, if ever, they can return to homes that have been in their families for generations.
Worse still, radiation spread well outside the mandatory evacuation zone, nestling in “hot spots” and contaminating the ground in what remains a largely agricultural region.
Rice, still a significant staple, has not been planted in many areas. Others face stringent tests and potentially harmful shipping bans after radioactive cesium was found in rice straw.
Excessive radiation levels have also been found in beef, vegetables, milk, seafood and water and, in hot spots more than 100 km from the plant, tea.
In an effort to lift the spirits of area residents as well as lighten the impact of the radiation, Abe began growing and distributing sunflowers and other plants.
“We plant sunflowers, field mustard, amaranthus and cockscomb, which are all believed to absorb radiation,” said the monk.

Professor’s anger at lawmakers creates buzz on Internet
SHUKAN ASAHI WEEKLY MAGAZINE
Tatsuhiko Kodama, right, a University of Tokyo professor, shows residents in Minami-Soma, Fukushima Prefecture, how to reduce radiation contamination in the soil. (Takeshi Kawasaki)
An exasperated University of Tokyo professor who launched an angry tirade at lawmakers over the Fukushima nuclear crisis has become a hero to many on the Internet.
Tatsuhiko Kodama, 58, who heads the Radioisotope Center at Todai, was called to provide expert testimony before the Lower House Health, Labor and Welfare Committee on July 27.
Facing a panel of lawmakers, Kodama said, “At a time when 70,000 people have left their homes and have no idea where to go, what is the Diet doing?”
Video footage of Kodama’s testimony was soon posted on YouTube, and within a few days, the video had been viewed more than 200,000 times.
Responses to the footage were generally favorable.
“I was deeply moved that Todai has a professor like him,” said one post.
“I understand the scary truth. I understand the inaction of the central government,” said another.
Besides being a doctor of internal medicine, Kodama is also an expert on internal radiation exposure. His background made even more shocking the testimony he provided in the Diet.

(TheWeatherSpace.com) — This morning at 0805 UT, sunspot 1263 produced a powerful X7-class solar flare. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory captured the explosion’s extreme ultraviolet flash.
The solar flare was not Earth directed but a minor proton storm is in progress around our planet, which could affect satellites.
Radiation from the flare also briefly disrupted communications on some VLF and HF radio frequencies.
We may get a glancing blow from the flare
