After getting a cut, many Americans will reach for a tube of over-the-counter antibiotic cream to ward off infection. But that widespread habit, a new paper suggests, may be contributing to the rise of one of the most concerning strains of drug-resistant bacteria.

Japanese researchers looked at 261 samples of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), including 21 samples of the USA300 strain, a type of MRSA that has gained attention for its spread, its frequent presence in the community as well as the hospital, and its link to necrotizing fasciitis, also known as flesh-eating disease.

They found that while other MRSA strains were somewhat susceptible to some combination of the antibiotics bacitracin and neomycin — which are typically found in over-the-counter creams — only the USA300 strains were resistant to both. The authors said this may mean that overexposure to those antibiotics is what led to USA300’s resistance.

People should understand that triple antibiotic [ointment] is not almighty, and avoid preventive or excessive use of this ointment,” said study author Masahiro Suzuki, a bacteriologist at the Aichi Prefectural Institute of Public Health in Nagoya, Japan.

How the USA300 strain arose

The origin of the USA300 strain has remained unknown, in part because, unlike other MRSA strains, it appears to have evolved outside of hospitals.

“Over the past decade or so, it’s really emerged as the leading cause of skin and soft tissue infections in the community,” said Dr. Henry Blumberg, a professor ofinfectious disease at Emory University who has studied USA300 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

While other antibiotic-resistant bacteria arose in hospitals, where antibiotic use is common, and then spread out into communities, USA300 was first found in community infections, and spread from there.

“Now it’s causing hospital infections,” he said. “Now the lines are a little more blurry between the community and hospital.”

Because USA300 is in the community, a number of groups are particularly susceptible to the strain, including children, gay men, prison inmates, military recruits, tattoo recipients and athletes, the study said.

But Blumberg said, “I think we’re beyond that. These groups may have higher risk, but these things spread throughout the population.”

Suzuki similarly told MyHealthNewsDaily that “all USA residents have a risk for USA300 infections anytime and anywhere, and should be careful to keep cuts and scrapes clean and covered, avoid contact with other persons’ infected skin, wash hands frequently, avoid sharing personal items to minimize risk of infection.”

Are antibiotic creams to blame?

While he agreed the bacteria are a threat, Blumberg said he was somewhat skeptical of the authors’ hypothesis that over-the-counter ointments are driving the presence of USA300.

“They have a theory that use of topical, over-the-counter creams and antibiotics select this USA300 clone and that’s why it’s emerged,” Blumberg said. “They haven’t proved it.”

Blumberg said that he is hesitant about the theory because “from my experience, most of the patients we see haven’t used topical antibiotics.” But, he said, “I think it’s an interesting theory. It would be interesting to see if this was widespread in a bigger collection of USA300 isolates.”

While USA300 is resistant to a number of drugs, it remains treatable — for now.

Another Human-Animal Connection

Humans Hardwired to Respond to Animals

A part of your brain is hardwired to respond to animals, whether cute and fluffy or ugly and threatening, a new study has found.

research team showed pictures of people, landmarks, animals or objects to epilepsy patients, who were already wired up so doctors could watch brain activity related to seizures. The researchers monitored the activity in the patients’ amygdalae, two roughly almond-shaped structures in the brain associated with emotions, fear and the sense of smell.

“Our study shows that neurons in the human amygdala respond preferentially to pictures of animals, meaning that we saw the most amount of activity in cells when the patients looked at cats or snakes versus buildings or people,” said Florian Mormann, lead study researcher and a former postdoctoral scholar at Caltech.

This preference extends to cute as well as ugly or dangerous animals and appears to be independent of the emotional contents of the pictures. Remarkably, we find this response behavior only in the right and not in the left amygdala,” Mormann said.

They found the activity in the right amygdala was not only greater, but neural responses were also faster for the animal pictures. The researchers then found the same response among people not suffering from epilepsy.

Past amygdala research has usually focused on human faces and fear, so it was a surprise to see that neurons in the right amygdala respond more to animals of all kinds than to human faces, according to Ralph Adolphus, a team member and professor at Caltech.

Emotional Effects of Red

Why The Color Red Makes Us Mad

Posted: 9/13/11 08:48 AM ET

When you think of red, you probably formulate strong mental images such as a ripe apple, a New England barn, the stripes on an American flag or even Dorothy’s shoes. And now, according to a recent study, red is quantified with increased physical response and velocity of that response in pinch and grip test subjects.

When presented color stimuli for response time (velocity) and force of that response, subjects reacted with higher values on these two parameters for, you guessed it, red. So, do the bullfighter’s cape and the business executive’s power tie work to the same end? Or did the color of the apple seduce Eve?

Red is the beauty of sunsets, the color of love and the life force that flows through our body — blood. We “see red” when upset. And now, as recently demonstrated, we physically react stronger and faster when we see it. But, have we not subconsciously realized this all along?

Tie in the anthropological significance of red in various settings and its myriad evocations, connect those to emotion — which some say triggers its physical response — and the evidence seems irrefutable. Red is the sports car, by urban legend, most frequently stopped by police. And red is the color of the emergency lights of an ambulance or the flashers on your car.

So, why do we increase our velocity and power of reaction when in view of red? Perhaps it is good thing, a neurological trigger that brings us to a quick halt at every traffic light or stop sign. Drivers passing through the green the world over are happy to hear of this confirmation about their fellow travelers coming to a stop. Red, indeed, seems to help us quickly apply the brakes, as the study shows. Thank goodness for red.

Science & Spirituality

Science and Spirituality Can Transform Our World .. Together

For hundreds of years, science has illuminated the mysteries of our universe, allowing us to conquer diseases, manipulate genomes, visit other planets and explore the wonders of space and time. But as a result of these profound and inarguable successes, science has also become the de facto cultural filter through which our broader societal norms, behaviors and institutions have developed and evolved. Newtonian physics established a physical reality composed of discrete and separate objects, operating according to predictable laws of time and space — the universe as a giant billiard table. And Darwinian evolution established the biological world as a tooth-and-claw realm of scarcity, competition and “survival of the fittest.” The end conclusions of this centuries-old scientific story is that we are accidents of the cosmos, living on a lonely planet in the cold depths of space, vying for limited resources in a frequently violent and tumultuous competition for supremacy. The implicit notion that we are walking husks for “selfish genes” pervades everything, from our economic and business institutions to our day-to-day interactions.

But an increasing number of scientific, philosophical and spiritual thinkers are arriving at the conclusion that this mechanistic take on the human story is fundamentally incomplete. Darwinian narratives of “survival of the fittest,” and mechanistic Newtonian physics are increasingly being seen as elements of a far greater and richer tapestry. Quantum entanglement, or Einstein’s “spooky action at a distance,” demonstrates that our universe is interconnected in ways we might never have imagined, down to the most basic particle level. And the discovery of “mirror neurons”in humans and other primates demonstrates that simply seeing something happen to another creature lights up the same neurons as if it were happening to us. In a very real sense, we don’t entirely distinguish between “the self” and others. And this is particularly true when witnessing suffering. Compassion and empathy seem to be hard-wired into us.

While inter-species and intra-species competition is an inarguable biological fact, we are discovering compelling new examples of connection, cooperation and community. In reality, we may have even misinterpreted Darwin. In his “The Descent of Man,”published in 1871, Darwin only mentions the phrase “survival of the fittest” twice, while he mentions the word “love” 95 times. Dig beneath the surface of the natural world, and a tooth-and-claw narrative is clearly not the only one to be found. Bonobo apes, with which humans share more than 98 percent of their DNA, live in highly cooperative societies based on matriarchal structures. These and other recent scientific discoveries may prove pivotal in creating newer and more accurate cultural narratives. The Human Genome Project has revealed amazing commonalities among all living organisms, and the project has also found that there is greater genetic variability within a given race than between them. In short, in spite of superficial appearances, we are far more alike, at a fundamental genetic level, than we are different.

Even so, we retain hard-wiring from a primitive past that was directed toward survival-based judgments and assessments of others. Studies find that this programming leaves us constantly primed to gauge others as “in-group” or “out-group,” based upon such criteria as race, gender, age and perceived cultural and socio-economic status — and that such analyses occur within milliseconds. This tribalism can be surprisingly fluid and dynamic. In one study, teen boys were exposed to the art of either Kandinsky or Klee. Even though the boys were previously unfamiliar with either and had been randomly assigned to view the works of only one artist, the Kandinsky “gang” quickly showed a greater willingness to loan money to other Kandinsky in-group members. And the same proved true of the experimental Klee “gang.”

Because such tribal-bonding is so dynamic and shifting, however, it is also highly malleable. Once recognized and understood, this hard-wiring can be consciously subverted. A measurable aversion to the image of a homeless person or drug addict can be rapidly transformed by an assignment to participate in a soup kitchen and choose appropriate menu items for people in need. In this way, out-group members almost instantaneously become fellow in-group members as part of a joint undertaking. The key to such subversion of tribalistic tendencies is that cross-group members must share a larger common goal, and have the support of recognized authority figures.

While competition and tribalistic bonding are inarguable aspects of our world, science increasingly makes clear that this is only one part of an expanding conceptual landscape. Our entire universe is profoundly interconnected, in ways that we are only beginning to decipher. This is true at the elementary particle level, at the genetic level, at the organism level and at a global level via the Internet. Ultimately, the same scientific milieu that helped form our current conflict-ridden cultural narratives may now be instrumental in defining not only a more productive world view, but a more accurate one.

Steven and Michael Meloan are authors of “The Shroud,” a science-adventure novel exploring the spiritual impulse, tribalism and its manifestations in human behavior, and the intersection between science and spirituality:

New Lie Detector

New emotion detector can see when we’re lying

By Hamish PritchardScience Reporter, Bradford

FaceOur faces betray a range of emotions; the thermal sensor even detects changes in blood vessels

A sophisticated new camera system can detect lies just by watching our faces as we talk, experts say.

The computerised system uses a simple video camera, a high-resolution thermal imaging sensor and a suite of algorithms.

Researchers say the system could be a powerful aid to security services.

It successfully discriminates between truth and lies in about two-thirds of cases, said lead researcher Professor Hassan Ugail from Bradford University.

The system, developed by a team from the universities of Bradford and Aberystwyth in conjunction with the UK Border Agency, was unveiled today at the British Science Festival in Bradford.

This new approach builds on years of research into how we all unconsciously, involuntarily reveal our emotions in subtle changes of expression and the flow of blood to our skin.

We give our emotions away in our eye movements, dilated pupils, biting or pressing together our lips, wrinkling our noses, breathing heavily, swallowing, blinking and facial asymmetry. And these are just the visible signs seen by the camera.

Even swelling blood vessels around our eyes betray us, and the thermal sensor spots them too.

Real-world testTraditional lie detection depends on the venerable polygraph, first developed in 1921, a much more invasive apparatus with a set of wires attached to the skin. This new device promises non-invasive, even covert truth tests in real time.

“We bring together all this well-established work on expressions, these recent developments in thermal imaging, techniques for image tracking of subjects and our new algorithms into one operational system,” said Professor Ugail.

So far, the team has only tested its lie detector on willing volunteers rather than in a real-life, high stakes situation. Later this year, though, they plan to deploy it in a UK airport, probably running alongside experienced immigration officers as they conduct security interviews. The algorithms can then be tested against the verdicts of these officers.

“In a real, high-stress situation, we might get an even higher success rate,” noted Professor Ugail, who believes he’ll eventually be able to detect around 90% of those who are lying, which is similar to the performance of the polygraph.

The researchers acknowledge, though, that these tests can never be 100% accurate.

What they detect are emotions, such as distress, fear or distrust, and not the act of lying itself. Fear can sometimes be the fear of not being believed rather than the fear of being caught.

Stephen Thomson on Energy Shifts

What Is Going On?

By Stephen Thomson

As most of you know from my bio, my primary source for being of service to others is through writing and psychic readings. Through this lens and working with clients, I get an encapsulated view of what is going on in our world, more so than through any other source. It seems as if I have one client talking about a certain topic or issue that more and more people sharing the same information will follow. In this way, I have come to learn more about what is going on in our world through the recurring themes of my clients. What I have come to expect over the years is that when a certain theme appears in the lives of one client, that the same idea or issue is echoed throughout the whole of our community. The words used to describe the energy of a period or, the way in which something is manifesting may be different, but everyone is on the same page to some degree. When I think about so many of us being in sync, it always reminds me that we are citizens of one world.

This month, as a departure from the usual article I write, I wanted to share some of the themes that are constant, if not insistent in my work these days. Since I have already mentioned a common thread appears in my work, I do not feel as though I am betraying the confidence or trust of any one client. These issues are universal in nature and of issue for all of us. Since most of us do our work in some degree of isolation, which is necessary part of spiritual work, hearing about others experiences can be of tremendous value. The spiritual path each of us walks is personal and unique to us. But there are times when it is good to hear what is going on with other like-minded people. One of the reasons I have always been an advocate for spiritual retreats, which offer any kind of a process, is the opportunity to share what is going on in our journey. Something very magical comes from hearing and listening to one another’s stories. In an instant of sharing, we can experience confirmation for who we have become or where we are in our journey. We can even gain new insight and understanding for the work that lay ahead.

In the spirit of sharing, I decided to use this month’s column to talk about the buzz in my client base and community. I hope there will be some confirmation or support for everyone in this month’s column. Sometimes it is just great to know there are other’s out there just like us.

Here are a few of the topics that have been the basis of quite a bit of discussion over the past few months.

About Time

We have been hearing a lot about a perception of time seeming to be different. For many of us, it feels like time is actually speeding up. The lead/lag/manifestation period has become a very different dynamic. The period between our having a thought and manifestation — the actual event happening — seems to have noticeably shortened. There is another dynamic in relationship to time that is equally palpable. Many of us feel as though we are able to move through time in ways that we have never been able to do before. Think of the book Dune, by Frank Herbert and the concept of folding time. In this way, some of us are experiencing what we would have talked about as memories in the past. In this era, there is an added dimension to the experience. Many of us are now feeling as though we are moving through time and space to an exact moment and experiencing an event over again. Although memories are not always the pleasant ones, in the energetic dynamic described here, there is a wonderful opportunity for us to do some deeper healing, as we prepare our bodies to assimilate the coming energy shifts on the planet.

About Healing

This area of our lives and community seems to be approaching a new paradigm. We have all worked so diligently over the years, dedicated to advancing our states of consciousness and working on being better human beings. The work we have done has healed layers of our life experience and helped us to transform into the people we aspire to be and have become today. Yet, our work is far from complete. The practices we do and the techniques we employ take us to certain levels of advancement. Over time, we have cleared some of the “lighter” energetic issues of our journey. Now, our work is becoming more intense and the issues deeper. This will require more time for healing, knowing we may only achieve parts of our desires for advancement. There is some core karmic issues we are born with that will remain with us until our last breath.

How does this feel? Many of us perceive this time as having reached a plateau in our work. The big hits are less frequent and the accompanying sense of forward movement seems to be missing. Just like in our traditional education system, the more advanced the student, the harder the work. Concepts become more complex and the work to understand a subject requires harder work and dedication. Where the spiritual path differs is with the choice to stop or continue our study. At this time and in this era of humankind, we are embarking on a period when the content of our work is deeper and will continue to provide the perfect conditions for our spiritual growth.

About the Choice of a Spiritual Path in this Lifetime

There comes a time in all our journeys when we ask ourselves why we have chosen a life path focused on spiritual advancement. This important question arises from within us at varying times along the way and corresponds with a period just before we are about to experience some major shift. (Sound like what is happening on our planet at this time.) Usually we are feeling a high degree of frustration with our lives and are anxious for life to progress to the next level. After all, we are human and our ego need is to have a sense that our life is moving forward and we are advancing.

What is our motivation and where does the energy come from that propels us forward on our path? If we compare our lives to others who seem to be experiencing life blissfully unaware of the deeper mysteries behind existence, in contrast, it can feel like we are working so hard. After all, they seem happy and their lives appear to be working. Each of us can remember a time when our lives felt less complicated, focused only on material success and the accumulation of things. Whatever created the shift in our consciousness (usually a dramatic life event) that resulted in a need for deeper understanding of the Divine nature of our universe; from that point forward, there was no turning back. The interesting part of this thought track is our belief that we made a conscious decision to move our life in this direction without any outside influence.

To some degree, it is only natural for us to defer to ourselves and see ourselves as the main cause behind all the events in our lives. There are times we may even appear to be self-centered and self-focused because of our journey. We examine our everyday behavior, supported by our practices and beliefs, to create some sense of our life journey. Our work is within and it is where we go for a deeper connection and understanding of the Divine. The more we know about ourselves and understand our actions and reactions in life, the more focused our understanding of the Divine. This is where we begin and journey toward a deeper relationship with the Divine.

Can we ever step off our path and return to the person we were before? In other words, can we ever give up our spiritual quest in favor of refocusing our efforts outward? Perhaps if we chose to give up our purpose and give in to a distraction that exists on the earth plan, we could lose ground, so to speak. Once the flame ignites within us, to smother that light would take a serious effort on our part. An example of something that could potentially affect our heightened vibration would be something with an innately lower vibration such as using drugs over an extended period. Where the frustration comes from is in us. We want our unfolding to happen quickly and overnight. However, the spiritual path is a gradual unfolding that will take all the days of our lives. What do we do in the meantime, as we progress at what can feel like a snail’s pace? Create an objective view of our lives and determine where we are making progress. Perhaps that is in our reactions to others, or perhaps our tastes have changed toward food and the way we spend our free time.

About What Pulls Us to the Path?

In the spiritual community, we often talk about dimensions, a delineation of ranges of energy that affect our consciousness and how we conceptualize the universe. The first through the third dimensions are terms we use to describe the energy of the physical world in which we live. The fourth dimension is the range of energy that exists beyond the perception of the five physical senses. We most commonly call this dimension the ethers or the astral. The fifth dimension deals with a range of energy described as the creative energy behind all of life, and referred to as the creative thoughts of God. There is a constant bombarding of rays of dynamic energy from the fifth dimension, which reach us and interpreted by us on an individual basis. An easy way to conceptualize the fifth dimension is this way; the creative mental images of the Divine, which are the basis for the world we live in, are telepathically sent and received between the Divine and us. It is to the energy of the fifth dimension that we respond as creative, spiritual beings. Once the channel opens between the fifth dimension, and us it is impossible to close. What we could also allude to is that the Divine pulls us on to the spiritual path. The original cause of our spiritual journey is beyond the range of who we are as individuals.

About the Gift of Life

We reincarnate in an era when the earth energy is perfect for supporting our unfolding spiritual nature. There are periods when the changes around us can create fear. There is a lot of that going around on the planet right now. However, if we keep focused on our spiritual goals, the world around us comes into focus and we can begin to understand the meaning and importance of the time for us. Free of emotional responses, what remains is our opportunity to grow more deeply into our connection with the Divine.

Tom Kenyon on Myth

(My Commentary:  Myths are pervasive throughout cultures, and in many ways support us in all we are.  At this time, it is well to look at the ideas within both ourselves and our culture as things change so rapidly and concepts morph and take on new meaning and symbolism. The Divine Spark always holds within itself a bit of madness, but then madness is something that can take on many forms and is, at times, the sanest approach to a shifting vibration.)

The Myth, The Hero, And The Lie

By Tom Kenyon

The concept of a living myth has intrigued me for many years, ever since I discovered Dr. Carl Jung’s work with archetypes during my undergraduate training. The idea of a living myth is alien to many in our materialistic society. For most people, myths are imaginary stories from another time, seeming to have little modern relevance. But a living myth is forged in the depths of our psyches, and it is both alive and potent with psychological power. Although living myths exist only in the subterranean passages of our unconscious, they nevertheless affect our outer world in very direct ways.

These mythological realms live unseen for the most part in the shadowy mists of our underworld. But occasionally they push through the veil of self-forgetfulness and land splat in our conscious everyday world. The young man rushing for the last touchdown of a football game, the crowd driven to their feet by mass hysteria, has suddenly been thrust into the myth of the hero. The mother who rescues her child from danger becomes, for a moment, the heroine.

There is power in myth, and every society instinctively knows this. In times of national crisis (i.e., war) societies quickly cast themselves as the Hero within their own minds. Anyone who opposes them becomes villainous. And when a culture begins to turn fascist, people are viewed as villainous just for asking intelligent questions about national policy and cultural attitudes. This pattern has been clearly repeated, ad nauseam, throughout all history, our current global crisis being no exception.

But no matter how unwieldy the global situation appears, it is fundamentally fueled by individual spiritual, psychological and economic choices. As individuals change their personal choice making, we will see an immediate shift in global affairs. And so it is to the individual that I wish to turn my attention in this discussion.

It is a long strange road we will take together here. We shall travel through lands of psychosis, mental illness, creative brilliance and spiritual illumination. Hopefully, we will gain some insights, along the way, that will help us in our own lives. And perhaps we will find, in the experience of others, some insight to help us in the extraordinary psychological and spiritual challenges we are facing at this time.

And so let us begin.

Council of 12 Through Selacia on Energies of 2012

Prepare for 2012’s Energies

Selacia
a message from The Council of 12 channeled by Selacia
Friday, 2 September, 2011  (posted 7 September, 2011)

No one really knows exactly how the energies of 2012 will unfold. To be sure, though, 2012  will come with unique challenges and an unprecedented acceleration of revolutionary change. The sense of urgency in the air, building for the last few years, will grow.

Most likely you are feeling more anxious now and you have more questions that don’t seem to have answers. Regardless of what you think will unfold in 2012, you know deep within your bones that you and humanity are at a crucial crossroads. You know that much needs to change within people and within society – otherwise the light-filled reality you want to inhabit cannot come into being. You understand, of course, that you are an integral part of the mix and that your own spiritual transformation is vital.

You know that there is nothing ordinary about this juncture. You can sense this even if you don’t watch the news and even if you pay no attention to the plethora of prophecies about 2012. Since you reside within such extraordinary moments of time, how can you best prepare for what’s coming next?

Tips for 2012 Preparation

The following are some guidelines to help you prepare for the changes of 2012. You can work with these ideas now and as 2012 unfolds. Begin your preparations early so that you can move through the chaos with more ease. You then will be more peaceful – helping yourself and others. Do not underestimate the potency of one peaceful person in a family, work environment, or other group. You can and do make a difference by generating peace.

Become friends with change. As a divine changemaker your role during these pivotal times is to be at the forefront of society’s changes. Your task is to master the art of consciously facing and moving through change, being the example, and showing others how to do the same. To do this, you must learn to become more comfortable with change. To be where you are right now on your spiritual path, you had to open your mind to view change in a radically different way. Compared with some other people in your circle, therefore, you likely have an easier time with some of the changes occurring now. The next step is to embrace change as though it was a true friend. That is more challenging but you are encoded to do it. You know at your core that the most progress happens in times of greatest change. Inquire within daily to discover how you can lighten up about the changes that you encounter.

Update your relationships. As you move into increasingly chaotic energies it becomes more vital to keep your relationships up to date. Reevaluate them now and regularly over this coming year. Consider how you can improve your communications – including words you say and feelings you express. How consciously you communicate with others will determine the quality of the relationship and how well it serves you. Space is important too. Consider whether your relationships allow you and others enough space. Respecting your own and another’s space is a key ingredient in a successful relationship. To weather the ups and downs of these times, you will need more alone time, more contemplation time, and more breathing room than before. When you come together with someone, you want to be present and a good listener and to feel that same response from the other person. Regularly explore the dynamics of your relationships, inviting your intuitively guided reason to show you needed adjustments. Strive to be as genuine as you can as much of the time as you can – with everyone.

Calm your mind and body. This is easier said than done when you are facing a constant stream of stressful events and unknowns. Most likely you have learned a number of methods for coping with stress – like meditation, breathing, and shifting your focus away from worry. You may work with at least one such tool regularly, and yet with today’s level of chaos, you can still feel anxious. Having power over your own mind and emotions will become an essential skill in 2012 and beyond. As a divine changemaker, you are learning to master life’s turbulent waters and find the calm. You can calm yourself like no one else can. When your calm state comes from within, generated by your own internal shifting, you connect with an unshakeable peace. No drug can give you this. No other person or thing can give you this. The parade of change in 2012 will give you ample opportunities to further master how you respond to chaos. Set your intent now that you will be an ongoing voice of grounded reason and calmness. Invite your higher wisdom to give you daily guidance and help in mastering this light-filled way of being.

As you continue the journey of discovering your divine nature, we surround you with our love and blessings. We are The Council of 12.

Monday, 22 August, 2011  (posted 7 September, 2011)

On September 20th I’ll be releasing my next book, You Can Create an Exceptional Life.  This book is written with Louise Hay.. and it’s a teaching story that unfolds over the course of a year of traveling together throughout the US and abroad.  I’m excited to share this experience with you.  It certainly has been an extraordinary journey that has changed my life….

During one of our first meetings, I asked Louise about her spiritual journey – the path that led her to touch the lives of millions.  As I listened to her story, a recipe for success – both in business and in life – began to reveal itself.  This week, I thought I’d share a bit of this wisdom with you.  Here are a few habits that, when practiced, contribute to living an exceptional life…

Optimism-putting attention and energy toward solutions rather than focusing on problems.

Simplicity-focusing on small, simple, and manageable steps instead of making things complicated.

Trust-learning to trust Life by seeing the perfection and opportunity for growth inall our experiences.

Service-focusing more on how we can best encourage and assist those in need, as opposed to getting lost in our own personal vision and quest for success.

Action-making a commitment to show up and walk through the doors that Life opens for us on our journey.

Faith-being willing to take chances and keep moving forward without knowing the outcome.

Magnetism-developing and tapping into the ability to attract what we need by putting (and keeping) ourselves in the right state of mind.

Greetings, dear ones, I am Kryon of Magnetic Service. So I return again with a message about perception. The shift that is going on now within this planet, at the moment, is about you. It’s about communicating. For that which is inside you called your Higher-Self, which remains unidentifiable, simply cannot be defined properly in three dimensions. So it’s often misunderstood.

It is time for all to hear this message, even though there will be pieces and parts of it you may not understand. The box that you are in is a survival box in three dimensions. It’s all you know. So you will base all things you see and make decisions only upon that which you think you know. In fact, for you to base things on that which you don’t know, is impossible – yet we ask you to try.

Multidimensional things are difficult for humanity to ponder. If you step outside the paradigm you were born in and the reality you have survived in, it would be a confusing experience. How then, can we ask you to think in ways that are beyond what you know or have experienced?

The energy on this planet is changing. You might say the toolbox of the Lightworker is being enhanced. So the new toolbox is the key to having the ability to do what I am saying is now possible, and to start thinking in a multidimensional way even without knowing that that’s what you’re doing. You see, part of the toolbox is new help. It starts with the increased intuition of the old soul.

Let us begin, therefore, with an affirmation, a statement of intent for understanding. As you sit before Spirit in a group like this, or alone and listening or reading as some of you are now, ask for a dispensation of wisdom: “Dear Spirit, help me to understand at a multidimensional level the concepts that are being presented.” For if you can enhance your wisdom, it will increase communication between the two sides of the veil.

The Humanization of God

I’m going to title this channelling so that my partner will not. I don’t always title them, for labeling items is something done for 3D reasons. In your reality, you want a label for the message you’re about to hear. So I’ll give it to you, just as a dichotomous exercise. Its title will be, “The Humanization of God.”
