Incoming CME

ANOTHER INCOMING CME: As Earth’s magnetic field reverberates from one CME strike, a second more potent CME is on the way. It was propelled in our direction by sunspot AR1748, which unleashed an M3-class solar flare on May 17th (0858 UT). Although this is not the strongest flare we’ve seen from AR1748, it could be the most geoeffective; the sunspot was almost-squarely facing Earth when the blast occurred. NOAA forecasters estimate a 75% chance of polar geomagnetic storms when the cloud arrives.

The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory took this picture of the CME leaving the sun at 1500 km/s (3.4 million mph) on May 17th:

In the video, the CME appears to hit Mercury, but it does not. It is merely passing in front of the innermost planet. The planet in the line of fire is actually Earth.

on Comet Lemmon

DISCONNECTION EVENT IN THE TAIL OF COMET LEMMON: Comet Lemmon (C/2012 F6), which is receding from the sun not far beyond the orbit of Earth, has just experienced a “disconnection event.” A cloud of dusty plasma is propagating down the comet’s tail, shown here in a photo taken by amateur astronomer Paul Mortfield on May 15th:

“I was pretty surprised to see this disconnection event when I processed the images,” says Mortfield. “The comet is a challenge to photograph because it is so low in the sky at the start of morning twilight.”

Disconnection events can be caused by CME impacts. A famous example is that of Comet Encke in 2007. Comet Lemmon, however, is not on the same side of the sun as active sunspot AR1748. It’s hard to see how the recent X-flares can be responsible. Nevertheless, solar activity is high, so now is a good time to monitor comet tails. They are very sensitive to stormy space weather.

Comet Lemmon is a pre-dawn object for observers in the northern hemisphere. It is currently gliding alongside the Great Square of Pegasus in the eastern sky before sunrise. The 7th-magnitude comet is too faint to see with the naked eye, but it is visible in medium-to-large backyard telescopes.

UFOs Disabling Nuclear Missiles: Former Senator Says Veterans’ Testimony is the “Smoking Gun” Confirming a U.S. Government Cover-up

WASHINGTON, May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The following was released today by Robert Hastings:

In an interview with ABC News/Yahoo! News last Friday, former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel (D-Alaska) said statements by U.S. Air Force nuclear missile launch officers–regarding mysterious aerial objects interfering with the functionality of American ICBMs–make clear that top government officials are lying to the public when they claim to have no knowledge of national security-related UFO incidents.

Gravel first gained national recognition in 1971, by placing the still-classified Pentagon Papers–which documented U.S. government malfeasance during the Vietnam War–into the public record.

Gravel said the revelations by former/retired Captains Robert Salas, Bruce Fenstermacher, and David Schindele, as well as retired Security Policeman Sgt. David Scott, are “the smoking gun of the whole issue” of government secrecy on UFOs.

The interview may be viewed at http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/power-players-abc-news/former-sen-mike-grave l-says-white-house-suppressing-112957111.html?vp=1.

On September 27, 2010, Captain Salas co-hosted the “UFOs and Nukes” press conference with noted researcher Robert Hastings, during which seven USAF veterans revealed ongoing UFO activity at U.S. nuclear weapons sites during the Cold War era. That media event was extensively and favorably covered by hundreds of news organizations worldwide, including CNN, which streamed the proceedings live.

The full-length video of the press conference appears at http://www.ufohastings.com/.

The latest testimony–about UFOs knocking ICBMs offline–was heard by Senator Gravel and five other former members of congress at the “Citizen Hearing on Disclosure” organized by Stephen Bassett at the National Press Club last week.

Hastings decided not to participate in that event, saying, “It’s unfortunate that Bassett chose to mingle the highly credible testimony of the missile launch officers, and the missile security guard, with questionable claims made by some of the other witnesses at the hearing. That is counter-productive if one is attempting to educate the public about the UFO reality and undercuts the legitimacy of the Disclosure process that he supposedly wants to bring about.”

Hastings has interviewed over 140 U.S. military veterans regarding their involvement in nukes-related UFO incidents over the years. His summary of their tape recorded accounts may be found in UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites, which is available at his website, www.ufohastings.com, for $23.95. (Scalpers resell it at Amazon for $85 and up.)

“An advanced, outside third party has been tampering with American and Russian nukes,” Hastings says.

On Symptoms of Awakening

21 Traits Of An Awakening Soul

Last updated on May 16, 2013 at 12:00 am EDT by in5d Alternative News

by Christina Sarich

You can say it’s because of a global shift in consciousness, a destiny we have arrived at due to spiritual evolution, or the outcome of strange times, but, many people all across the globe are going through intense personal changes and sensing an expansion of consciousness. Personal changes of this magnitude can be difficult to recognize and to understand, but here are 21 traits of an awakening soul, a ‘sensitive’, or an ‘empath.’

1. Being in public places is sometimes overwhelming. Since our walls between self and other are dissolving, we haven’t really learned to distinguish between someone else’s energy and our own. If the general mood of the crowd is herd-like or negative, we can feel this acutely, and may feel like retreating into our own private space. When we have recharged our batteries with meditation, spending time in nature, far away from other people, or just sitting in quiet contemplation, we are ready to be with the masses again. In personal relationships, we often will feel someone else’s emotions as our own. It is important to have this higher sense of empathy, but we must learn to allow another person’s emotions while observing them and keeping our empathy, but, realizing that not all emotions belong to us. Social influence can dampen our own innate wisdom.

2. We know things without having to intellectually figure them out. Often called intuitive awareness, we have ‘a-ha’ moments and insights that can explain some of the most complex theories 21 Traits Of An Awakening Soul | in5d.com | Esoteric, Spiritual and Metaphysical Databaseor phenomenon in the world. Some of the most brilliant minds of our time just ‘know.’ Adepts and sages often were given downloads of information from higher states of consciousness after meditating or being in the presence of a more conscious individual; this is happening for more people with more frequency. As we trust our intuition more often, it grows stronger. This is a time of ‘thinking’ with our hearts more than our heads. Our guts will no longer be ignored. Our dreams are becoming precognitive and eventually our conscious thoughts will be as well.

3. Watching television or most of main stream media, including newspapers and many Hollywood movies is very distasteful to us. The mindset that creates much, but not all, of the programming on television and in cinema is abhorrent. It commodifies people and promotes violence. It reduces our intelligence and numbs our natural empathetic response to someone in pain.

4. Lying to us is nearly impossible. We may not know exactly what truth you are withholding, but we can also tell (with our developing intuition and ESP skills) that something isn’t right. We also 21 Traits Of An Awakening Soul | in5d.com | Esoteric, Spiritual and Metaphysical Databaseknow when you have other emotions, pain, love, etc. that you aren’t expressing. You’re an open book to us. We aren’t trained in counter-intelligence, we are just observant and knowing. While we may pick up on physical cues, we can look into your eyes and know what you are feeling.

5. We may pick up symptoms of your cold, just like men who get morning sickness when their wives are pregnant. Sympathy pains, whether emotional or physical, are something we experience often. We tend to absorb emotion through the solar plexus, considered the place we ‘stomach emotion’ so as we learn to strengthen this chakra center, we may sometimes develop digestive issues. Grounding to the earth can help to re-establish our emotional center. Walking barefoot is a great way to re-ground.

6. We tend to root for the underdog, those without voices, those who have been beaten down by the matrix, etc. We are very compassionate people, and these marginalized individuals often need more love. People can sense our loving hearts, so complete strangers will often tell us their life stories or approach us with their problems. While we don’t want to be a dumping ground for everyone’s issues, we are also a good ear for those working through their stuff.

7. If we don’t learn how to set proper boundaries, we can get tired easily from taking on other people’s emotions. Energy Vampires are drawn to us like flies to paper, so we need to be extra vigilant in protecting ourselves at times.

8. Unfortunately, sensitives or empaths often turn to drug abuse or alcohol to block some of their emotions and to ‘protect’ themselves from feeling the pain of others.

9. We are all becoming healers. We naturally gravitate toward healing fields, acupuncture, reiki, Qi-Gong, yoga, massage, midwivery, etc. are fields we often find ourselves in. We know that the collective needs to be healed, and so we try our best to offer healing in whatever form we are most drawn to. We also turn away from the ‘traditional’ forms of healing ourselves. Preferring natural foods, herbs, and holistic medicine as ways to cure every ailment.

10. We see the possibilities before others do. Just like when the church told Copernicus he was 21 Traits Of An Awakening Soul | in5d.com | Esoteric, Spiritual and Metaphysical Databasewrong, and he stood by his heliocentric theory, we know what the masses refuse to believe. Our minds are light-years ahead.

11. We are creative. We sing, dance, paint, invent, or write. We have amazing imaginations.

12. We require more solitude than the average person.

13. We might get bored easily, but we are really good at entertaining ourselves.

14. We have a difficult time doing things we don’t want to do or don’t really enjoy. We really do believe life was meant to be an expression of joy. Why waste it doing something you hate? We aren’t lazy, we are discerning.

15. We are obsessed with bringing the truth to light. Like little children who say, “that’s not fair” we want to right the wrongs of the world, and we believe it often just takes education. We endeavor to explain the unexplainable and find answers to the deep questions of life. We are seekers, in the Campbellian paradigm. ‘The Hero With a Thousand Faces.”

16. We can’t keep track of time. Our imaginations often get away with us and a day can feel like a 21 Traits Of An Awakening Soul | in5d.com | Esoteric, Spiritual and Metaphysical Databaseminute, a week, a day.

17. We abhor routine.

18. We often disagree with authority (for obvious reasons).

19. We will often be kind, but if you are egotistical or rude, we won’t spend much time with you or find an excuse to not hang out with people who are obsessed with themselves. We don’t ‘get’ people who are insensitive to other people’s feelings or points of view.

20. We may be vegan or vegetarian because we can sense a certain energy of the food we eat, like if an animal was slaughtered inhumanely. We don’t want to consume negative energy.

21. We wear our own emotions on our sleeves and have a hard time ‘pretending’ to be happy if we aren’t. We avoid confrontation, But will quietly go about changing the world in ways you can’t even see.

On Synchronicity

Synchronicity: Harmony in a Chaotic Universe

16th May 2013

By Fox Chandler

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

Space, contrary to what the writers of Star Trek may have us believe, is not a quiet place. We perceive it that way because the human ear can process only a minuscule portion (20Hz to 20,000Hz) of the electromagnetic radiation1 that is generated as a result of the energy unleashed by stars coming into existence, galaxies colliding and planets ceasing to be.

On entering a room full of strangers we encounter a similar experience. This time however it is noise not silence that is the problem. Crammed into that limited 20-20,000Hz bandwidth appears to be a chaos of conversations, laughter and nervous unease.

As we scan the room from our side of the threshold how can we quickly and accurately identify ‘friendly’ faces or a receptive group to join?

The same physics apply to our atoms as those that apply to black holes. Our atoms and their sub-atomic structures behave in exactly the same way in all regards including the emission of radio waves.

As our bodies go through the processes of simply being, our sub-atomic particles absorb and release discreet charges of electrical energy. In doing so they set up a distinct, personalised radio-wave2 signature.  These signatures are sufficiently distinct that they can indicate when all is well with an individual or whether an individual’s well-being is compromised. It is this radio-wave signature that ancient cultures tuned into, and today’s energy healers seek to effect, as part of their spiritual healing practices. Modern science, slightly belatedly, now acknowledges these vibrational-energies as playing a leading role in our well-being.

Furthermore, and more importantly for those journeying in Awareness, research has shown that we are sensitised to the radio-waves emitted by others. Anyone who has attended a sports event will be familiar with the notion that there’s ‘something in the air’ as tensions quickly spread through the crowd.

Neuroscientists now agree that during a conversation in which both parties experience mutual rapport, their respective brain activity is closely aligned. So when it feels like you and another person are on the same wavelength, you are. Such experiences are a perfect example of the wonder of synchronicity3 and its powerful role in our everyday lives.

Synchronicity is evident in all that unites mankind and is absent from our existence when ego replaces compassion and we move towards conflict.  Synchronicity when heard in music is known as harmony4 which, as with much else in our Universe, is instructive. The opposite of harmony is dissonance – notes in conflict – rather than notes in resolution.  For those journeying in Awareness, seeking to live in harmony, it is essential that we open ourselves up and permit synchronicity to enter our lives.

Much within our lives, our relationships and endeavours is, due to the pressures of our modern world, trying to push aside harmony, to de-synchronise us.  We are left feeling as if we are walking up the down escalator. It doesn’t help to push back against that which is causing us conflict, rather we should aim to carve out, within our lives, a greater space for synchronicities to manifest.

We can make space by doing the simple stuff; skipping newspapers (with their endless crises), switching of the TV (with its inexhaustible banalities), and avoid engaging with, and contributing to, office gossip.

Furthermore we can expand the space by doing similarly simple stuff: exploring our creative gifts, growing foods, engaging with nature, conversing with friends and family or even more simply, being still and appreciating the World for the wonderful place it is.

But we can go further.

We can use this awareness of the power of synchronised radio-wave signatures to aid conflict resolution in our relationships.  When our tolerance is stretched our radio-wave signatures get re-mapped and we move out of sync. into dissonance.  This adversely impacts our ability to communicate due to the conflicts that this remapping sets up within our energy fields.  It’s why saying “sorry” and being perceived as being ‘sorry’ is not the same thing!

At such moments mentally switching sides – seeing the point of discord from the other’s perspective – can help return our radio-wave signature to their previous, harmonious setting enabling us to resolve conflict without permitting discord to colour our behaviours.

The Universe gave us synchronicity. By understanding it, trusting it and working with it we can put a little harmony back into the Universe.

Fox Chandler

  1. Electromagnetic radiation propagates across the Universe in wave lengths from X rays to LW radio waves (extending to infinity at either end of the scale)
  2. Radio waves are part of the electromagnetic wave spectrum and the ‘signature’ is also referred to as the electromagnetic signature.
  3. Carl Yung defined synchronicity as two unlike events being experienced as a singular, meaningful event
  4. Harmony; n.
    a.     Agreement in feeling or opinion; accord: live in harmony.
    b.     A pleasing combination of elements in a whole: color harmony; the order and harmony of the universe

Jeff Masters on Tornadoes & Typhoons

After going twelve months with a record-low tornado death toll of just seven people, last night we received a jolting reminder that tornadoes typically kill a lot more people than that in the U.S. A deadly tornado swept through Granbury, Texas near 8 pm CDT, killing six and injuring up to 100. The weather system that spawned the Granby tornado also unleashed a mile-wide twister that hit Cleburne, about 25 miles southeast of Granbury. Damage was heavy in Cleburne and a state of emergency declared, but only seven minor injuries were reported. A third tornado hit the small town of Millsap, about 40 miles west of Fort Worth, causing roof damage a destroying a barn, but caused no injuries. Preliminary figures indicate that a total ten tornadoes touched down in Texas last night, and NWS damage survey teams are out today to determine the exact total and how strong they were. The National Weather Service out of Fort Worth has issued a preliminary rating of EF-4 to the Granbury tornado, making it the first tornado stronger than EF-0 reported in May 2013. The storms also dumped softball-sized hail up to 4″ in diameter in Mineral Wells, TX.

Video 1. The Granbury, Texas tornado of May 15, 2013.

Thursday’s tornado was the deadliest U.S. tornado in over a year. The last time six people died in a U.S. tornado was on April 14, 2012, during an EF-3 tornado that hit Woodward, Oklahoma. The last Texas tornado that was deadlier occurred on April 24, 2007 in Maverick County, when an EF-3 tornado hit Eagle Pass, Texas, killing seven. Texas has had one other tornado death in 2013, from a twister that hit on February 21, 2013, in Sabine County. The region of Texas hit by last night’s tornadoes has few basements, which may have contributed to the death toll. According to underground member Seattleite, “In this part of Texas basements are very uncommon. The reason is due to the soil, it is basically clay. It contracts and expands with temperature and moisture levels on the order of a foot or more in a typical year. The pressure from this can cause basement walls to cave. They can be built, but it costs at least an extra $20,000+, as they surround the basement with a sand-like barrier to handle the changes in the ground.”

Is the 2012 – 2013 tornado drought over?
Thanks to the cold spring in the Midwest during 2013, and the 2012 Midwest drought, the 197 EF-1 and stronger tornadoes that occurred during May 2012 – April 2012 was an all-time minimum for any twelve-month period since at least 1954, wrote tornado researcher Harold Brooks at the U.S. Severe Weather Blog (previous minimum: 247 tornadoes from June 1991-May 1992.) The death toll of just seven was also a record low for any twelve-month period since 1950. Amazingly, this tornado drought occurred less than two years after the record maximum: 1050 EF-1 and stronger tornadoes from June 2010 – May 2011. The extraordinary contrast underscores the crazy fluctuations we’ve seen in Northern Hemisphere jet stream patterns during the past three years. Call it “Weather Whiplash” of the tornado variety. A blog post by meteorologist Patrick Marsh of NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center argues that the record 12-month tornado maximum of 1050 EF-1 and stronger tornadoes from June 2010 – May 2011 was a 1-in-62,500 year event. The record 12-month minimum of 197 EF-1 and stronger tornadoes that occurred from May 2012 – April 2013 was a 1-in-3000 to 1-in-4000 year event. In Marsh’s words: “Anyway you look at it, the recent tornado “surplus” and the current tornado “drought” is extremely rare. The fact that we had both of them in the span of a few years is even more so!”

Our tornado drought may be at its end, as the latest forecasts from NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center call for an active severe weather pattern Saturday – Monday. The current forecast calls for just a “Slight Risk” on Saturday over the Northern Plains, but the threat will grow on Sunday and Monday as a powerful spring weather system gathers strength over the center of the country.

Saturday’s main threat areas: SD to NE, and northern KS
Sunday : IA, parts of MO/KS, to central/eastern OK
Monday : IL/MO to OK/TX border

Tropical Storm Mahasen hits Bangladesh
Tropical Storm Mahasen hit the Bangladesh coast near 08 UTC Thursday, May 16 near a place called Feni north of Chittagong. Mahasen was a tropical storm with top winds of 50 mph at landfall. Satellite observations suggest that the storm was becoming much more organized just before landfall, and it is fortunate that the storm ran out of time to intensify when it did. Mahasen likely brought a storm surge of up to a meter (3.3 feet) to the coast of Bangladesh, but it is the storm’s rains that are causing the main problems. Satellite rainfall forecasts made at landfall show that Mahasen could dump up to 20 inches of rain along a swath through Bangladesh and into Northeastern India. These rains will be capable of causing destructive flooding, and ten deaths have already been reported in Bangladesh from the storm. At least eight people have been killed in Sri Lanka due to landslides triggered by Mahasen’s heavy rains, and a boat carrying refugees capsized on Monday, killing eight and leaving 50 missing.

First tropical storm of the year, Alvin, forms in the Eastern Pacific
The official start of hurricane season in the Eastern Pacific is Wednesday, May 15, and Mother Nature emphatically agreed, bringing us the first named storm of the year, Tropical Storm Alvin. With wind shear a moderate 10 – 20 knots and the storm currently struggling to hold itself together, it currently appears unlikely that we will see a Hurricane Alvin. The storm is moving west-northwest into the Central Pacific, and is not a threat to any land areas.

Explosions @ Popocatepetl Volcano

Explosions and Earthquakes Still Rocking Mexico’s Popocatépetl

An explosion at Mexico’s Popocatépetl taken from the Tlamacas webcam on May 15, 2013. Image: CENAPRED.

The high alert at Mexico’s Popocatépetl remains in place as the restless Mexican volcano still shows signs that new magma is at the surface, meaning a larger explosion could occur if pressures builds under the summit crater. Over the last day, the volcano has produced 22 separate explosions (see above) or “exhalations” of ash, as they are refered. The latest CENAPRED update from today (May 16) says that the explosive strombolian activity at the summit has continued, with blocks of volcanic tephra and ash being thrown up to 400 meters from the vent. Ash has been reported falling occasionally in cities all around the volcano as well. Combine that with near constant seismicity and ash emissions reaching up to 3.5 km (11,500 feet) that wax and wane, and we have a very active volcano. CENAPRED has left Popocatépetl at alert level Yellow Phase 3 and officials are making plans for evacuations and shelters if the eruption gets worse. The current 12 kilometer exclusion zone around the volcano also remains in place.

Now, it wouldn’t be a volcanic crisis without the usual “the locals don’t care if the volcano is active” articles — and sure enough, here it is. You can see the formula for these articles: a volcano is restless and officials are worry, but local residents near volcano X are plucky/fearless/dumb. Geologists say “danger” but local residents have something colorful to say about how they don’t care, usually with a folksy attitude/idea of why it erupts. Now, I know there is a whole cottage industry in the media for these “people” stories, but I do wonder if they really sell the local communities short. Sure, stick a reporter’s microphone in your face that everything is normal and you won’t leave. Yes, there are very real issues with theft and looting during evacuations (as this article points out) — something we’ve seen before at other volcanic crises. However, when it comes down to an actual large eruption, attitudes change quickly as your  and your families’ lives are threatened by the erupting volcano. Then again, we could be looking at fine journalism that uses public opinion to speculate on if a major eruption will occur (sigh) and whether folks think this is an actual emergency.

On UFO’s & Montana

A Letter To The Montana Wilderness Association

Before reading this letter, I advise everyone to watch this video:

May 15, 2013

From: Richard O’Connor, M.D.

Dear Montana Wilderness Association,

My name is Richard O’Connor, M.D. My wife and I have for many years been financial contributors to the MWA. We both very much appreciate and support the work done by the MWA in its goal of preserving the wild and natural qualities which contribute to the beauty of Montana.

I am writing this letter in an attempt to draw the MWA’s attention to a matter that I believe could have very important implications with regard to how we will produce the prodigious amounts of energy which will be required to maintain human civilization into the future. We can all agree that the coal, oil, and gas industries which presently remain indispensible to the production of our current energy needs also together comprise, by far, the greatest source of threat to the integrity of Montana’s wild places. Just yesterday I saw an announcement from the Mauna Loa atmospheric observatory that measured atmospheric CO2 levels have now risen to 400 ppm for the first time in recorded history, yet there is no end in sight, no other energy technology, which holds promise to completely replace fossil fuels as the primary energy source of our civilization. This should be a matter of grave concern to all of us, and I am certain this is the case for those who provide the leadership of the MWA.

My goal in writing this letter is to introduce to the MWA a new awareness which I hope will spur a call to action. The “new awareness” of which I speak is that of the UFO. I believe that the UFO may hold the key to the discovery of a revolutionary new energy technology which could, in the very near future, lead to breakthroughs which might completely replace fossil fuels as the energy source of mankind’s future. In order for this to happen, we, all of us, must first come to realize that the UFO phenomenon is real, it is ongoing, and it is extremely unlikely that these manufactured craft are utilizing any form of fossil fuel to produce the energy required to arrive here. A significant number of civilian pilots, military pilots, FAA employees, CIA “whistleblowers”, and private citizens both from the U.S. and from other countries have recently come forward who have explained their first-hand experiences with the UFO phenomenon, thus making the argument that “there is no evidence of the existence of UFOs” increasingly indefensible. Ironically, the burden of proof seems to now be shifting towards non-believers. We can now know with a high degree of certainty that the UFO phenomenon is real, and the “Extraterrestrial Hypothesis” is the “least objectionable hypothesis” which explains their frequent observances in Earth’s atmosphere.

Am I a believer in “conspiracy theories”? When it comes to the UFO, my answer is an unqualified “yes”. I have but only the slightest lingering doubt that the real existence of UFOs has been covered-up by our nation’s military for well over 6 decades and counting. Over that time, just what the U.S. military has learned about the operation of UFOs, and specifically about how they produce the energy required to arrive here we cannot know for certain, but I feel that it is imperative that we discover the answer to this question in the very near future. There can be little doubt that those “in the know” have already undertaken a serious scientific study of the UFO in pursuing their own perceived interests of our national security, but their definition of “national security” very likely differs markedly from my, and likely the MWA’s, definition of national security. My definition of national security would definitely include the preservation of Montana’s wild places, and this is a goal that cannot and will not be accomplished under our current fossil-fuels-for-energy paradigm.

What I hope to accomplish in writing this letter to the MWA is to encourage the MWA to become the world’s first major environmental organization to formulate and publicize a public statement which would include the following points:

1. It is very likely that the UFO phenomenon is real. This statement is supported by abundant witness testimony provided by dozens of reliable and highly credible people, NASA astronauts Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper being but two examples among many.

2. It is becoming increasingly apparent that the real existence of UFOs, which are very likely of interplanetary origin, has been deliberately and methodically covered-up by our nation’s military. CIA agent Chase Brandon, and more recently another individual previously employed by the CIA, have gone on the record in stating that the Roswell UFO crash did happen, and a UFO disc was recovered by our U.S. military in July of 1947. Strong evidence also indicates that an intact UFO was recovered by our nation’s military near Kingman, AZ in 1953.

3. There can be no question that our nation’s military would have undertaken an in-depth study of the energy and propulsion systems of these, and possibly other, recovered UFO craft through highly compartmented, “black” projects (Unacknowledged Special Access Projects) which are known to exist and are carried out in our national laboratories (Los Alamos, Sandia, and Oak Ridge National Laboratories, among others).

4. It is every U.S. citizen’s right to know the results of any scientific studies of UFO energy and propulsion systems which have been financed by all of us.

5. Any results of such studies which might be applicable to the development of revolutionary energy technologies must be made immediately available to the wider scientific community in an effort to determine their possible applications toward solving our current energy conundrum and obviating the need for combusting hydrocarbons to produce the energy we require.

It is my hope that the MWA will muster the foresight and the courage to take such a public stance in supporting a “truth out” movement regarding the UFO, thus providing an example to other environmental organizations around the country that will soon follow suit. Believe me when I say that there is a plethora of solid witness testimony which would be considered satisfactory evidence in any courtroom in this country, and which will be considered by any reasonable person to be adequate evidence to support the contention that the UFO phenomenon is real. The MWA, the Sierra Club, and The Nature Conservancy, all to which my wife and I financially contribute, can go on fighting what will be a losing battle with the coal, oil, and gas industries, or each can “step out of the box” which currently constrains the conversation. Instead, let us open up a whole new conversation about another topic, the UFO, which may potentially fulfill the role of replacing any and all currently proposed but inadequate-to-the-task energy “solutions” which threaten, and which will eventually annihilate, Montana’s wild places.

We seem to be living in an age of “coming out”. People, and nations, are feeling the need to “come out” to relieve themselves of long-carried burdens which weigh heavily upon their spirits and inhibit their social, spiritual, and intellectual development. The UFO is just such a burden carried by our U.S. military, and perhaps a very few individuals in mainstream government who have had a “need to know”. With a push from an informed citizenry, a momentum may be established which will result in our military finally unburdening itself of this heavy load, the UFO, which it determined so long ago it must carry in the interest of our nation’s security. Let us help them open up this conversation. Montana’s wild places, and indeed Earth’s entire biosphere, are in desperate need of a new and revolutionary energy solution. The UFO may provide that solution, but we cannot and will not know this unless we demand to hear the truth.

I can guarantee that this topic is going to eventually explode into our reality, and I believe that it is the responsibility of all environmental organizations which are truly interested in finding a way out of our current energy conundrum to help light that fuse. I would be most happy to work with the MWA in developing a statement which incorporates the points listed above, and I await the MWA’s response to this proposal. The MWA may publish this letter on its website, and I encourage this action.

This path has the potential to lead to a meaningful and much needed revolutionary energy solution which will relegate coal, oil, and natural gas only to the production of manufactured graphene, plastics, paints, and other myriad applications which future generations of Americans will need. Let us not continue the practice of combusting these hydrocarbons and throwing their pollutants into our atmosphere. Instead, let us turn our attention toward the UFO and determine just what it may have to teach us.

Sincerely,
Richard O’Connor, M.D.
