(TheWeatherSpace.com) — There are many different things out there that make people question and comment on, this section will be on chemtrails.

TheWeatherSpace.com was given a link to a video today and it was of interest because it was a chemtrail hazard YouTube channel of some sort. (Click to go to Channel)

While I can comment deeply into the subject, TWS Meteorologist Kevin Martin is more suited for such but at the time could not give a quote.

Last update: July 8, 2011 at 4:33 pm by By Armand Vervaeck

Weekly KVERT (Russia) volcano report on the Kamchatka and Kuril Islands volcanoes (July 8).
KVERT scientists are examining satellite information each day to look for evidence of volcanic unrest since 2002.
This week listing has not changed since the July 1 listing.

The color labels are for aviation safety but are giving at the same time a perfect indication of the activity state of the volcanoes.

Phoenix Haboob

Phoenix Dust Storm: Arizona Hit With Monstrous ‘Haboob’ (PHOTOS/VIDEO)

First Posted: 07/6/11 09:22 AM ET Updated: 07/6/11 05:25 PM ET

monstrous dust storm roared through Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday night, delaying flights and causing power outages for thousands of people.

The AP reports that the massive dust cloud, also known as a “haboob,” was around 5,000 feet when itarrived in Phoenix, but radar data reveals that it reached heights anywhere from 8,000 to 10,000 feet high prior. The storm appeared to be around 50 miles wide in some areas, KSAZ-TV reported.

The dust storm originated in Tucson, and was a part of Arizona’s monsoon season.

According to CNN, the dust storm prompted the Federal Aviation Administration to issue a ground stop on flights at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport for about an hour and 15 minutes. At its peak, the storm left 10,000 customers without power, Jenna Shaver of the Arizona Public Service told CNN.

Threat from Volcanoes in Ballarat

Ballarat’s extinct volcanoes could pose risk, expert says

BY TOM MCILROY
06 Jul, 2011 11:42 PM
THE Ballarat region could be at risk from new volcanoes forming as Victoria remains overdue for a volcanic eruption, a University of Melbourne geologist has warned.Associate Professor Bernie Joyce said yesterday that most of Australia was unprepared for a volcanic eruption which could come without much warning.

Professor Joyce said extinct volcanoes, including Mt Warrenheip and Mt Buninyong, suggested similar volcanoes could form in the area.

“Because the volcanoes around the Ballarat area are not as young as others across western Victoria and Mt Gambier, you could expect a new volcano to come up in a cluster at some point in the future,” he said.

Odd Visitors in Waters off Seattle

Odd visitors in local waters a deep mystery

The unusual visit last week of two long-beaked dolphins to waters outside Olympia was just the latest in a string of strange animal sightings in and around Pacific Northwest waters. Lots of creatures that at first glance might not seem to belong have found their way here in recent years.

OCEAN SUNFISH Found locally: 1997 off Cape Flattery; Natural habitat: Warm and temperate waters

There was the brown booby, the plunge-diving tropical seabird that inexplicably hopped aboard a crab boat this spring in Willapa Bay.

And fishermen have caught spear-snouted striped marlin off the Washington coast and a 6-foot leopard shark in Bellingham Bay. The shark, in particular, is hardly ever seen north of Coos Bay, Ore.

Even Bryde’s whales, which normally range from Chile to northern Mexico, have washed up dead on southern Puget Sound beaches. Twice. Just since early 2010.

The unusual visit last week of two long-beaked dolphins to waters outside Olympia was just the latest in a string of strange animal sightings in and around Pacific Northwest waters. Lots of creatures that at first glance might not seem to belong have found their way here in recent years.

The reasons are as diverse as the beings themselves. Green sea turtles that wind up stranded on Washington beaches often are presumed to have ridden warm-water currents up from California during El Niño years. Once they land in the cold Northwest, they grow too lethargic to make it home or swim at all.

Salton Sea-San Andreas Fault Link

Study: Salton Sea faults may trigger big San Andreas Fault earthquake

By BRADLEY J. FIKES bfikes@nctimes.com | Posted: Monday, June 27, 2011 7:00 pm

San Andreas Fault

Engineering of the Colorado River may have delayed an overdue large earthquake along the southern San Andreas Fault, UC San Diego researchers say in a new study.

But as stresses keep building, faults under the Salton Sea may trigger a big quake anyway, the researchers said.

The faults, some of which the researchers discovered, could trigger ruptures in a “strike-slip stepover zone,” they said. That’s the same fault configuration that triggered the disastrous 1906 San Francisco earthquake.

The Weekly Volcanic Activity Report is a cooperative project between the Smithsonian’s Global Volcanism Program and the US Geological Survey’s Volcano Hazards Program.
Updated by 2300 UTC every Wednesday, notices of volcanic activity posted on these pages  are preliminary and subject to change as events are studied in more detail. This is not a comprehensive list of all of Earth’s  volcanoes erupting during the week, but rather a summary of activity at volcanoes that meet criteria discussed in detail in the “Criteria and Disclaimers” section. Carefully reviewed, detailed reports on various volcanoes are published monthly in the Bulletin of the Global Volcanism Network.

Large Alaskan Earthquake

Massive (scary) Alaskan earthquake in an unpopulated area

Last update: June 24, 2011 at 10:26 am by By Armand Vervaeck and James Daniell 2 Comments

Earthquake summary : A terrifying strong earthquake occurred at 6:09 PM near the remote Alaskan Aleutian Islands.  The epicenter of the earthquake was on top of the subduction slope. The energy of this massive earthquake was weakened due to the depth of the epicenter. There was never a widespread Tsunami danger for this earthquake. To read the full story as it happened, we advise our readers to start at the bottom of the page (earthquake data) and to continue going up.

UPDATE 08:45 UTC : We thought it may be interesting for our readers to show how the Alaskan plate tectonics work. The star is the epicenter of the earthquake. Map screen shot courtesy Google Earth.
The Pacific plate is subducting the North American plate by 70 to 80 mm a year!!
