Emerging Solar Flares

SOLAR FLARES: Emerging sunspot complex 1195-1196 is crackling with M-and C-class solar flares. John Stetson and students in South Portland, Maine, caught one of them in this snapshot taken April 21st at 1500 UT:

“Big sunspot 1193 was an attractive target,” says Stetson, “but the real action was taking place around the sun’s southeastern limb.” Indeed, that is where readers with solar telescopes should point their optics. AR1195-1196 is growing in complexity and more flares could be in the offing.

STRANGE BEAUTY: It’s been almost a year since NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory began taking pictures of the sun. As the first anniversary of First Light approaches on April 21st, researchers are taking stock of the observatory’s many accomplishments. One of the most profound results turns out to be aesthetic: the sun is more beautiful than anyone imagined. Consider the following extreme ultraviolet image, taken just hours ago, of the magnetic canopy of sunspot complex 1191-1193:

This stunning snapshot is actually routine material for SDO. The observatory produces a daily torrent of beauty that, even now, mission scientists haven’t grown used to. Normally unflappable researchers are frequently caught staring slack-jawed at SDO movies. And when they’re done, they don’t have the vocabulary to describe what they have seen. Many of the phenomena SDO catches have no textbook names. SDO’s starscapes may turn out to be as prized to poets, artists, and writers as they are to no-nonsense solar physicists.

Our world is getting closer to “Star Trek” every day, it seems. Scientists announced today (April 14) they’ve been able to teleport special bits of light from one place to another, a la “Beam me up, Scotty.”

While the advance doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll ever be able to teleport people, it does represent some pretty nifty, mind-bending physics.

Teleportation requires taking advantage of a quirk of quantum physics called entanglement. Two particles can be bonded so that even when separated by large distances, they communicate instantly, and what happens to one affects the other. (It’s a situation so bizarre Einstein called it “spooky action at a distance.”)

Anyone who ever felt that Gaia does not speak back will find thmeselves quite shaken up this week as not only does Gaia speak, but she howls and whines and laments.  This is a week for being kind, loving, compassionate, and grateful.  That attitude will allow you to see through all the confusion and fear and anger that is popping out all over the globe. Also, when you are compassionate, that emotion attracts more and more to it so that others feel.  And that is sometimes enough.

Sunday, April 17:   Orange Flame

There is disillusion in the air today.  Along with that comes an unveiling of some secrets or doubts that have been held for quite some time.  This is a day on which compassion and patience towards self and others will bring great rewards and understanding.  The energies also bring a kind of lulling, a rocking.  There are things happening around you of which you will not be aware.  This is, therefore. a good day for exercising your intuition.  Much of what is coming will be hinted at, and if you are alert to what is not being said, you will be able to deal better with what is on the surface while, at the same time, preparing for what is underneath.

Things that you have been waiting for will be delayed or, in a worst case scenario, it will be discovered that they were never coming after all.  This is a slow kind of day, when you are not going to feel like getting a lot done.  Also there may be some physical issues that keep you from feeling your best.  Take time to be with yourself and be kind to yourself. Listen to your body.  The currents in the air today are conflicting and everyone is responding differently.  Be aware of what your perspective is. By so doing, you will see what is important for you.

The day will start out on a slow note.  Take this time to review your dreams of the night before, ground, and center.  You might feel as though you are walking through jello for most of the morning.  Time will drag and you will not be accomplishing the things that you wanted to get done. Stay away from the temptation to get agitated by this.  The afternoon will bring clarity along with some new energy.  The vibrations shift today around 1:00 pm, and from that time forward things will look different and feel different.  If there are connections to be made, letters to answer, issues to deal with this is the time to do it.  Once again, clarity is very important, so make sure that you understand exactly what is being said before acting.  Some things that seem obvious are not so..

Sunshine and flowers are the themes of the day.  Things are springing up all over and there is a joy in the air.  People will be more willing to hear new ideas, entertain new concepts, deal with new individuals, so take advantage of this energy.  There are things that you have been wanting to do, things you have been desiring to get out into the open, but you have held back for a number of reasons.  Today those reasons no longer are important.  This day is a true window of opportunity.  Do not let it pass. Seize the time, and be forthright.  Some amazing things can come out of this.  You will not see them all right away, but you are planting the seeds for future fulfillment.

This is a day for remembering, not because you want to but because you cannot help but.  Thoughts of persons gone out of your life may haunt you, and as part of this, you can expect times of deja vu.  These events will  not be frightening, but on some level quite consoling,.  All of us hide deep memories, thoughts, and regrets.  These are close to the surface today, and the energy favors resolution.  Take time to work with past events and issues that you shared with others, and you will finally be able to see the lessons that are there and the hidden meaning in what has gone before.  There is a kind of gentle finality in the air today. Embrace it, and be grateful.

There are things for you to know and to learn about, however unless you let go of some of the logical/linear, there is a good possibility that they will slip by.  Take nothing for granted today and look for what lies beneath the surface.

Mercury goes direct:   The clarity you have been looking for is not there.  It is time to look in other places and to consider other options.  Tried and true ways and means no longer hold the security or the solutions that they did before. To repeat old patterns and actions will just leave you unfulfilled and frustrated.  Strike out today on your own, but first spend some time taking a good long look at just WHO you are within your innermost being. Tattoos of Princess of Altai conceal mankind’s biggest mysteries

43923.jpegIn 1993, archeologists found the mummified body of a young woman on Ukok Plateau in Russia’s Altai region. The plateau is located in the area of Russia’s border on Mongolia. The mummy of the woman with a tattoo on her shoulder became known as the Princess of Altai. Scientists from Novosibirsk say that the cause of the woman’s death, who died 2,500 years ago, is still shrouded a mystery.

Scientists conducted the MRI examination of the mummy in June 2010. It was the first time, when a mummified body was studied with the help of an MRI scanner in Russia. Experts continue to study the photos which they received as a result of the procedure. According to Andrei Letyagin, the chairman of the MRI Center of the Siberian department of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the final results of the research will be exposed in May-June of the current year.

Altai Aborigines say that the mummy is their progenitor. They call her Princess Kadyn, or Kydyn. The tattoo on her arm conceals very important information for mankind. The time to read the information has not come yet, Aborigines say. They also believe that the woman was a priestess and that she passed away voluntarily to protect the Earth from evil spirits.

Native residents also say that scientists troubled her remains and angered the powerful gods. An earthquake occurred in the region soon after the mummy was discovered. The locals urged the scientists to put the mummy back in the burial hill to avoid new disasters. Rumor has it that the number of wildfires and storms started growing after the mummy was removed from her chamber.

Giant ocean whirlpools puzzle scientists. 44010.jpegUS scientists discovered two giant whirlpools in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Guyana and Suriname. It became a sensational discovery because this part of the ocean has been studied thoroughly, and no one expected anything like that to appear in the area. More importantly, no one can understand where the whirlpools came from and what surprises they may bring to people.

According to Brazilian scientist Guilherme Castellane, the two funnels are approximately 400 kilometers in diameter. Until now, these were not known on Earth. The funnels reportedly exert a strong influence on climate changes that have been registered during the recent years.

“Funnels rotate clockwise. They are moving in the ocean like giant frisbees, two discs thrown into the air. Rotation occurs at a rate of one meter per second, the speed is sufficiently large compared to the speed of oceanic currents, on the border hoppers is a wave-step height of 40 cm,” Castellane said

Music Between Earth & Space(Station)

I’ve had this song in my head ever since Sunday when I first saw this video, so finally decided I had to post it. Astronaut (and flautist) Cady Coleman on board the International Space Station hooked up with Ian Anderson, founder of the rock band Jethro Tull, to collaborate for the first space-Earth duet. The song, “Bourree in E Minor,” was written by Johann Sebastian Bach, but Jethro Tull made the song famous (again) with their own arrangement of the tune back in 1969, the same year Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin stepped on the moon. Coleman and Anderson played the song in recognition of 50 years of human spaceflight and the anniversary of the first launch of a human to space by cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961.

Coleman played her part from 220 miles above Earth late last week. Anderson played his part while on tour in Perm, Russia, during the weekend. The two parts were then joined.

Color of the Week:    Yellow Red

There is something completely new in the works for this week.  The beginnings may be the only things that are perceived during this time, however there will be a crescendo of the energy associated with this new wave.  It will affect everyone and everything.  It can be a very disturbing kind of vibration on all levels.  It is important because of this to be grounded in all you do.

In the personal sector, you can expect more shakeups in relationships. There are health issues which will seem anomalous that will be affecting either yourself or those around you.  Be prudent in the use of electronics. There are blips along the way as well as ‘bugs’ in the works.  Watch yourself in traffic.  Plan ahead and leave extra time if you need to be somewhere at a specific time. This is also a week for being patient with yourself and those that you truly care about.  There is much out there that is in one’s face, and reactions can be quick and thoughtless.  Much is changing right now.  You must decide where you stand in that change, but do so from the heart.  Use your intuition in difficult circumstances, and you will find that things become much clearer.

On a larger scale, the theme of shake-ups will be continuing.  These will be on every level, political, economic, earth-related, animal-related, etc. The news will be quiet on much of this, regaling you instead with items of local interest.  You must be aware of the larger picture.  There is a pattern in the energies of the time.  Holograms and fractals will become more and more important as models of what is going on.  There is a general movement of the crust of the Earth which will not be stopping for many months.  The financial picture will be painted as rosy, but behind the scenes things are not that way.  There will be some conspiracy related issues and individuals that will be coming out, perhaps some leaking of plans in the works for the immediate future.  Expect also a cryptic announcement coming from China. The galactic energies are coming closer, and those star star emanations will be continuing.  There is something happening in Egypt around the pyramids as well as at the far reaches of the Upper Nile.  Archeological discoveries will bring unusual and unexpected time frames and artifacts to the eye of the public.  More information will be coming out that can only be related to extra-terrestrials races.

There is finality in the air today, some sadness, and the urge to start anew. Tempers may run hot, but energy can run low.  If you are feeling tired or unable to deal with stuff, take a break — center, ground, meditate, breathe.  Close your eyes, clear your head, take in a deep breath, hold it for a few seconds, then exhale.  Do this as often as needed to regain a sense of calm and connection.  Nothing is settled today, so do not expect to get things done.  A good day for observing.  Listen to your inner voice when you see things that do not seem right.  There are lessons to be learned there.  Things are happening around you for a reason.  If you stay alert, it will all fall into place.
