El Hierro Update

El Hierro Volcano : Green and Yellow alert – today : RECORD number of strong earthquakes (88) since September 30, 2011 (pre-eruption phase)

Last update: June 25, 2012 at 3:58 pm by By

Update 25/06 – 15:45 UTC
-The number of earthquakes is picking up again
Today will have the highest number of (M+2) earthquakes since September 30, 2011 (pre-eruption process at El Hierro). IGN has still a delay of several hours and we have counted already 88 M+2 earthquakes.
We have compared data from the full length of the eruption process. On November 3 (fierce action) 62 M+2 earthquakes were registered.  On October 6, 2011, 88 M+2 were registered.

Update 25/06 – 15:28 UTC
– As stipulated in the 14:36 UTC update, we see a drastic decrease  in number and strength of the earthquakes. It looks like the strongest swarm episode  is over for now and we expect no further deterioration of the situation if the current activity continues.
– Earthquake Animation of Julio del Castillo Vivero in cooperation with Avcan – magma trail has been currently blocked at El Julan (last set of bullets)

Update 25/06 – 14:36 UTC
– We have the impression that, based on the HT hourly graphics, HT and the number of earthquakes has decreased considerably although we still notice strong ones.  Probable explanation : Flow decreased due to blocked lava tubes, but pressurizes the paths even more which is related to a number of stronger quakes
82 earthquakes (the most important ones) listed by IGN until 12:12 UTC (we are now more than 2 hours later)
– The AVCAN map below shows the “road” the magma is following while pressurizing the below the island tunnels. The magma is gradually moving from the El Golfo island towards a cluster below the old volcano crater and finally towards El Julan (south coast). It still has to travel a little bit towards the submarine crater to restart the eruption process. The main question now is whether it will reach and reopen the cone or withdraw before that.

June 24-30

This week can bring some surprises, some freshness, some questions, and lots of emotions.  This is not a time for doubt or uncertainty, rather you must own your own power.  Take time each day to center and align.  Put aside some time for meditation.  It does not have to be a huge chunk of time.  Just take a moment, center, breathe into your heart, and allow the energies of All That Is to fill you with light.

The good news is that if you are working from your heart and open to the winds of Universal Consciousness, ultimately, it will all be fine.  Everything is going to work out if you allow for things to flow.  The Universe wishes the best for all.  How could it not, we are all bits of Universal energy.  The important thing is not to get in the way of the flow.

On the larger scale, there will be rumblings on every level, on the Earth, within the Earth, in politics, in finance, in health, in war.  Things are being shaken up on a very critical level.  The Sun will bring in new information in terms of how it works and how it is affecting all the planets.  Meanwhile, the galactic energy is causing turbulence within the Solar System.  Expect new information about the structure of our Solar System.  Old ways and predictions are no longer working.  Things are no going according to definition or schedule.  This can lead to some interesting commentary, especially by non-mainstream talk show hosts.  And Gaia, she has so much to say.  Look for her message in the patterns and locations of her movements.

Sunday, June 24, 2012    Light Lime Green

This is just a day that will be what it is meant to be.  You can get the results you are wanting if you just let go.  Admittedly, the results will not be earth shaking but they may be just enough to let you get a glimmer of your power.  It is a good day for a smile.  Look for a contact from someone you care for who has been out of touch for a while.  It is good to speak with old friends and family.  The evening is a sigh and a kind of hug.  It will let you relax.  See things for what they are and add your gratitude for what you have.

Monday, June 25:    Light Pink

This is a day of in-betweens.  Things will be okay.  Trust that today.  Even if it may seem that there will be a conflict/upheaval/confrontation…. Etc.  Things will not escalate.  They will fumble.  Things can be stirred up and unclear, but that is about the extent of it all today.  So, what to do?  Just take the day for what it is.  Step back from all the potentially big stuff and take time to enjoy all the stuff that you tend to overlook.  The spotlight is on that which has been forgotten, stuffed in the back of the closet, taken for granted.  There are huge lessons to learn from all of this.

Tuesday, June 26:    Frosty White

There are things you had hoped for and things you had planned for.  In the energy of today, everything will be topsy-turvy.  This can leave you wondering just what exactly is happening, and that is okay.  It is okay because as everything is in flux, it is probably good to see things as moving and changing.  That which is too stationary is probably not going anywhere.  So take a look at things in your life in terms of the stationary focus.  Do you want to stay there or move on?  It is up to you, and btw, no judgment; no right; no wrong.  Just what you choose.

Wednesday, June 27:    Aquamarine

The uh-oh’s have it today.  The energies are reminding you to check and double check.  This means, also, relying on your intuition.  Today it is right on and if you will listen and heed, not only will you not be left behind, but also you can find yourself making some interesting discoveries.  There are those around you who have been playing a role and in the current energy, the facades are breaking down.  This can lead to emotional episodes.  Stay grounded and within your heart.  Make compassion your motto today.

Thursday, June 28:    Grainy White

Things that you have to do today will be just what you expected, so let it be.  No illusions.  And, under any circumstances, you can make some interesting observations about it all.  So be the observer.  Definitely not the commentator.  You just might find, if you choose that route, that your commentaries can be misunderstood, even later to come back to haunt you as the words were twisted and turned.  Everyone is on their own trajectory, and it is totally unrealistic to expect that they all will complement each other.  So let it go.

Friday, June 29:   Dark Pink

Things that were supposed to be easy can prove to be more tricky than expected today.  You are not going to feel that you have the requisite energy to deal with all this stuff, and that can make it all be more than it would seem to be on the surface.  There are things out there that can push you to the edge.  Okay, all of this seems overwhelming but attitude makes all the difference in this energy.  Choose how you are willing to let what is out there affect your inner Core.  Focus on what is important and alluring to your true essences, and all will be well.  And is it September yet??????

Some of the Satellites over Leiden

THE BUSY-NESS OVER YOUR HEAD: Earth orbit is crowded with nearly a thousand operating satellites and tens of thousands of spent rocket engines, splinters from satellite collisions, and other space debris. Space is a busy place. This picture taken by expert satellite watcher Marco Langbroek frames some of the madding crowd over Leiden, the Netherlands:

“This single image of a 10×14 degree-wide part of the geostationary belt was taken near midnight of June 18-19 and shows 30 satellites,” says Langbroek. “Each black box contains one or more (mostly) geostationary satellites plus a few rocket bodies: 23 commercial geostationary satellites, one classified military geostationary satellite (Milstar 5), and 6 spent rocket boosters.”

“The geostationary belt can be seen as a slanting line of objects diagonally over the larger image.” he continues. “The geostationary belt (at declination -7.4 degrees for the Netherlands) never comes high in the sky for my country (which is at 52 N). All the objects on the picture have an elevation below 30 degrees. The image was taken from the center of Leiden–i.e. not an ideal dark sky. I did a slightly bad job in focussing, so the image is slightly less sharp (especially near the edges) than it could have been with this fine lens. Still, an amazing number of objects recorded in this small field of view!”

Well, Hello, TS Debby

Dr. Jeff Masters’ WunderBlog

Tropical Storm Debby has formed in the Gulf of Mexico
Posted by: Angela Fritz, 9:18 PM GMT on June 23, 2012 +22
Tropical Storm Debby has been named by the National Hurricane Center this afternoon after hurricane hunters investigated Invest 96L and found a solid closed circulation, with maximum winds of 50mph and gusts up to 65mph. All interests along the Gulf of Mexico coast should pay attention to the progress of Debby. Debby is drifting north at 5mph. The storm has brought heavy rains to Western Cuba, South Florida, and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula over the past two days, but the disturbance’s heaviest rains are located well offshore over the Eastern Gulf of Mexico, where heavy thunderstorms are generating winds near tropical storm-force. A buoy 243 miles east of Naples, FL measured sustained winds of 31 mph, gusting to 38 mph, with 10-foot waves, at 8 am EDT Saturday morning. Our Wundermap for the surrounding ocean areas shows a large region of the northern and eastern Gulf of Mexico is experiencing winds of 20 – 30 mph.

Visible satellite loops show an unorganized tropical cyclone with an obvious surface circulation, though the thunderstorm activity is well displaced to the east. The heavy thunderstorm activity is slowly expanding and growing more intense. Upper-level winds out of the west continue to create moderate 10 – 20 knots of wind shear over the region, though that is expected to increase over the next few days. Water vapor satellite loops show a region of dry air over the central Gulf of Mexico, which will continue to interfere with Debby’s development and make it hard for the west side of the circulation to maintain heavy thunderstorms. Ocean temperatures are about 28.5°C (83°F) in the Central Gulf of Mexico, which is about 1°F above average.

Figure 1. Saturday afternoon satellite image of Tropical Storm Debby in the Gulf of Mexico.

Figure 2. Saturday afternoon forecast track for Tropical Storm Debby.

Forecast for Debby
The National Hurricane Center is forecasting Debby to remain a tropical cyclone over the next 5 days as it drifts north and then west toward Texas. The Hurricane Center is forecast a very slow progression of the storm, with a potential landfall not occurring until Friday of next week. However, most of the models that predict the turn to the west suggest landfall will happen before or around Wednesday. The models are still generally split on the forecast for Debby; by Monday, the majority of the reliable models, including the ECMWF, NOGAPS, HWRF, and UKMET, agree that a ridge of high pressure will build in over the Southern U.S., forcing Debby west across the Gulf of Mexico and into South Texas by Wednesday. However, the GFS model, which has been our 2nd most reliable track model over the past two years (behind the ECMWF), has consistently been predicting that a trough of low pressure pushing off of the U.S. East Coast will be capable of grabbing the disturbance and accelerating it to the northeast across Florida north of Tampa Bay on Monday. The GFDL model splits the difference between these extremes and takes Debby north to a landfall near the Alabama/Florida border on Tuesday. The predicted track west to Texas is still the most likely outcome, though it remains a low-confidence forecast. In terms of intensity, none of the models is predicting Debby will become a hurricane, nor is the Hurricane Center. Though sea surface temperature is warm (and around 1°F above average), the actual heat content of the Gulf is relatively low, and while wind shear is predicted to remain moderately strong through Sunday, but will increase to 30+ knots by Tuesday.

Debby’s place in history (by Jeff Masters)
Remarkably, Debby’s formation on June 23 comes a full two months ahead of the usual formation date of the season’s fourth storm in the Atlantic, August 23. Debby’s formation beats by twelve days the previous record for formation of the fourth named storm of the year in the Atlantic, set in 2005, when Hurricane Dennis was named on July 5. An early start to the Atlantic hurricane season has been increasingly common in recent years. In 2008, I blogged about the research of Dr. Jim Kossin of the University of Wisconsin, who published a 2008 paper in Geophysical Research Letters, titled “Is the North Atlantic hurricane season getting longer?” He concluded that yes, there is a “apparent tendency toward more common early- and late-season storms that correlates with warming Sea Surface Temperature but the uncertainty in these relationships is high”. Three out of four of this year’s early quartet of storms–Alberto, Beryl, and Debby–formed in ocean areas that were more than 1°F above average, which is an unusually high amount of warmth. We should expect to see more early-season Atlantic tropical storms as a consequence of global warming, since cool ocean temperatures are a key impediment to formation of such storms. However, this assumes that factors such as wind shear and atmospheric stability won’t grow more hostile for tropical cyclone formation during the early part of hurricane season, and this is uncertain. If we do end up seeing a substantial increase in early-season tropical storms as a consequence of global warming, this is not necessarily a bad thing. Early-season tropical storms are often more boon than bane, bringing much-needed drought-busting rains, like Tropical Storm Beryl did for North Florida last month. There is typically a lot of wind shear around in May, June, and July, making it difficult for early season storms to reach major hurricane status. According to Wunderground’s list of major early-season hurricanes, since record keeping began in 1851, there has been only one major hurricane in May, two in June, and nine in July. Three of these occurred in the past ten years, so there has not as yet been a large increase in early-season major hurricanes due to global warming.

Sumatra 6.6 Earthquake

M6.6 earthquake hits Sumatra

Last update: June 23, 2012 at 7:11 am by By

UPDATE:- From the epicenter, reports are that there was major panic with people jumping out of houses, however at this point there is no damage being reported.

Many people fleed from hospitals in Singkil, scared of a collapse. They are currently outside, awaiting aftershocks.

The last major quake in the epicentral region was around a year ago, claiming a life and damaging 100s of buildings.

An intermediate depth earthquake has hit Sumatra near Aceh.  Shaking could hit a VI intensity.

The earthquake has been reported as a weak shaking tapering off quite quickly which is good news from these localities.

This earthquake was felt by people in Penang in Malaysia quite strongly.

A tsunami warning was issued, but for such a deep hypocenter it is usually unlikely that such a large tsunami would result. Only due to underwater landslides.

Mom’s Call To Action Against GMO’s

Mom Turned Activist Launches National Movement to Boycott GMOs

22nd June 2012

By Katherine Paul – Organic Consumers Association

Diana Reeves was furious when her state legislators caved into threats by Monsanto to sue the state of Connecticut if it passed a GMO labeling law. Lawmakers effectively told Connecticut’s voters, who had clearly expressed overwhelming support for GMO labeling, “oh well.”

Unlike her gutless state legislators who rolled over, Reeves is determined to keep the fight for transparency in GMO ingredients alive – and she’s taking her fight national. She’s started a group called GMO Free USA which plans to pressure food manufacturers into revealing which of their products contain GMOs. The ultimate goal is to organize national boycotts of those companies that refuse to switch to non-GMO ingredients.

GMO Free USA is Reeves’ first foray into activism. The mother of three was on the fast track at a major accounting firm when her son was diagnosed with cancer. She walked away from her job to take care of him.

“I never looked back,” she said. Her son died before he turned five.

“This is one of those things that act as a catalyst, that bring people together,” Reeves said. “You learn to live with it, to try to make some good come of it, to find better ways to channel the grief.”

Having lost one child to disease, and with two daughters who were also suffering from health problems, Reeves became increasingly interested in the relationship between food and health,  About 4 or 5 years ago, she began reading about the potential hazards of GMO. “I started sending emails to my friends, telling them to ‘say no to GMOs,” she said. “I was probably driving them all crazy.”

Then a few months ago, a friend introduced her to NonGMO Hartford, which eventually led to her involvement with the Connecticut Right to Know group which was pushing for a state labeling law. She began distributing information, and campaigning for HB 5117, which included a provision for mandatory GMO labeling.

With overwhelming public support for the Connecticut GMO labeling law, Reeves and others were sure it would pass. But at the last minute, under threat of a lawsuit by Monsanto, the bill was eviscerated behind closed doors, and the labeling provision removed before it was voted on by the House.

“I was so angry that our legislators didn’t do their job,  that they didn’t stand up to the corporations – especially because the majority of voters wanted this law,” Reeves said.

Just as she had channeled her grief, Reeves now channeled her anger. She decided that if the government wasn’t going to do its job, she would go directly after the food manufacturers.

She started GMO Free USA. The group’s first task is to attract a significant number of like-minded members (5,000+). Once they reach that critical mass, they’ll identify one company per week, and members will bombard that company with emails. The emailers will express concern about the health risks of GMOs, ask the company if they are sourcing GMO ingredients, and express their intent to boycott their products unless the GMOs are removed.

“We’re going to hit them from every angle,” Reeves said. “It’s going to be thousands of people speaking directly to food manufacturers.”

In order to make their voices heard by companies with very high sales volume, Reeves said they will need to mobilize thousands of people to act independently. So they’re trying to find a minimum of 5000 people who will commit to the campaign, before they begin emailing food manufacturers.

“The more people who join this consumer email initiative, the more powerful the campaign will be,” she said.

Anyone who wants to get involved in this national campaign can sign up on Facebook or Yahoo Groups.

The LumenOctave Principles – A Detailed Guide to the Language of the Soul

14th June 2012

By Mona Bhattacharya

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

In our purest form, we are consciousness; we are the light that experiences everything. The instrument through which we experience our light – the human body – is essentially created by sound, i.e. atoms vibrating on different frequencies. These vibrations proceed in all kinds, aspects, and densities of the matter that constitutes the Universe, from the finest elements to the coarsest.

Lumen is defined as the total amount of visible light emitted by a source.

When the white light of consciousness enters the body, it refracts and travels through seven different organs and glands with seven different frequencies. Each frequency regulates the characteristics and color of light emitted. For example, when the consciousness light enters the pineal gland, the energy emitted is violet due to the specific vibration of the gland.

By that standard, The LumenOctave is the light of consciousness experienced through an octave of sound frequencies: the seven frequencies plus the origin of the octave.

The explanation behind this can be found in music theory. In a musical scale, there are seven notes: Root, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh are the scale degrees relative to the root note – the origin of the octave. The seven-tone scale is the formula of a cosmic law defined by ancient schools applied to music. However, studying the manifestations of the law of octaves in vibrations of other kinds shows that the law applies to everything else in our reality; that light, heat, chemical, magnetic, and other vibrations are subject to the same principles as sound vibrations. For instance, the light scale is known to physics; in chemistry, the periodic system of the elements is closely connected with the principle of octaves.

Sunlight entering and leaving a drop of water to create a rainbow is a simple natural phenomenon exemplifying this law. When the light of the sun leaves the prism, it is no longer white, but spreads into seven rays of different color: Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, depending on the angle though which is enters and leaves.

How does this apply to the Human Experience?

Musical sounds are organized into patterns of harmony. Noise is random, disorganized sounds.  A harmonious sound is called a tone, and is produced by vibrations contained in an organized way for the performer to control the loudness, quality and duration of the tone.

Similarly, the harmony of the LumenOctave – essentially the interplay between body and spirit – is determined by a person’s intentional ability to take charge of the tones within the octave and create harmony in life instead of disruption and noise.

The eight tones of the LumenOctave

Each tone of the LumenOctave is the native sound to a specific aspect of the human experience, e.g. finances, sex, relationships, personal boundaries, love, communication, independence, mental clarity and purpose, etc. By that definition, each tone communicates in clear messages about what works within that aspect – and what doesn’t. Below is an overview of each tone, its native region, color and purpose, and most importantly, how it communicates.

Tone 1: Life Purpose

  • Physical Location: Crown Center, Fontanel
  • Native Energy: Static
  • Native Aspects: Spirit, Higher Self, Self Acceptance
  • Color: Golden light
  • Purpose: To establish a strong connection to the higher self
  • Symptoms of Dysfunction: Bipolar disorder, ADD, dyslexia, epilepsy, MS, Parkinson’s, memory loss or a personal history of strokes or brain tumor

You know your first tone is harmonious when you feel an unconditional love for yourself and everyone around you knows it. You are connected to your higher self and are living out your purpose, expressing your work on the planet on a daily basis. You are fully aware that your purpose is unique, focused and specific to whom you are. Your radiance is evident to others.

You know your first tone is disharmonious when you feel stuck in a dull repetitive job – like you are called to do something great, but unable to identify what it is. You don’t have the courage to break away from the secure monthly paycheck, opening the space to discover your special contribution to the world. You feel abandoned by God.

Tone 2: Intelligence

  • Physical Location: Pineal Gland
  • Native Energy: Static Electrical
  • Native Aspects: Intelligence, Intuition, Psychic Powers, Imagination
  • Color: Violet
  • Purpose: To enhance mental clarity and intuition
  • Symptoms of Dysfunction: Frequent headaches, sinus pressure around the eyes, bad eyesight, cataracts, glaucoma, insomnia, paranoia or depression

Your second tone is active when clarity of mind is a regular and natural state for you. Having a calm, primed mind gives you a powerful presence in this world. You don’t need any external means to stay sharp and clear – in stead, you easily tap into the unlimited resources of your intelligence. Other people respect you for your quick mind and ability to see things clearly. Your life is a series of synchronicities and you feel the flow of life on a daily basis.

You know your second tone is inactive when you feel a lack of mental clarity, good memory, or the ability to handle stress. You are unable to stay focused and efficient, and unable of relaxing your mind to heal negative thought patterns that cloud your life. You feel confused and often lose sight of the big picture. You wish could get a bird’s eye view of what is going on in your life.

Tone 3: Healing

  • Physical Location: Medulla Oblongata
  • Native Energy: Neuro-Electrical
  • Native Aspects: DNA-Activation, Addictions, Programming
  • Color: Indigo
  • Purpose: To ensure that messages from the pineal gland are communicated and integrated within your body. The home of DNA programming and re-programming
  • Symptoms of Dysfunction: Teeth-grinding, issues with mouth, teeth, or gums, nervous breakdown, neurosis, psychosis, anxiety disorders

You know your third tone is active when you realize that living out your true potential is not defined by right or wrong, good or bad, normal or strange. You live your life in harmony and balance, unaffected by the opinions of others – even if they represent a majority. You have the courage to follow your dreams, free from “I shouldn’t”, “I ought to” and “I must”.

You know you need to focus on your third tone when you are caught in a situation because it is expected of you, or in a relationship because it’s ‘wrong’ to get a divorce. You feel uneasy with the unconventional and easily get embarrassed when those around you act out of the norm – especially in public! You care about what others think to a point where you will change your path to conform, even if deep down, you don’t really want to.

Tone 4: Communication

  • Physical Location: Thyroid Gland
  • Native Energy: Electro Magnetic
  • Native Aspects: Ether, Truth Aura
  • Color: Sky Blue
  • Purpose: To give you the gift of clear, truthful verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Symptoms of Dysfunction: Weakened immunity, swollen throat glands or frequent sore throat or laryngitis, hormonal imbalances, neck or upper back pain, thyroid problems, chronic sinus issues, lymphedema or hypothyroidism

When your fourth tone is active, you are not afraid of voicing your opinion, and those around you value what you have to say. They know you speak the truth, even if it is uncomfortable to some. You feel comfortable talking in front of large groups of people and know how to captivate them with your messages. You are a great judge of character, and are able to decode non-verbal as well as verbal communication.

You know your fourth tone is inactive when you feel uncomfortable delivering a difficult message, to yourself as well as to others. You often find yourself accepting things to be true, even if you know they’re not – “I’m OK with this”, “I’m glad I lost my job”, “It probably happened for the best”.

Tone 5: Love

  • Physical Location: Thymus Gland, Lung Region
  • Native Energy: Electrical
  • Native Aspects: Air, Happiness, Environment
  • Color: Green
  • Purpose: To create contentment, happiness, love and freedom
  • Symptoms of Dysfunction: Frequent upper respiratory ailments, chest pain, high blood pressure, heart problems, asthma, lung issues, breast problems, poor circulation, carpal tunnel, or problems with shoulders or arms

You know your fifth tone is healthy when you feel happy and loved. You know that you are complete in your own being, happy just the way you are, and no one can take that away from you. Loneliness is not a part of your life, but the sense of freedom to do what your heart desires is. You know the true meaning of forgiveness – of yourself and others.

You know that your fifth tone is inactive when you often feel a sense of abandonment and wish that people were there for you. Loneliness and the dominant desire to find the one true love that completes your life are recurring themes in your thoughts. Even if you want to let go and forgive, pain and hurt linger on in you, even years after.

Tone 6: Personal Power

  • Physical Location: Solar Plexus
  • Native Energy: Thermal
  • Native Aspects: Fire, Confidence, Strength
  • Color: Yellow
  • Purpose: To create a strong personal foundation and the power to say NO
  • Symptoms of Dysfunction: Diabetes or low blood sugar, digestive difficulties, liver problems, hiatal hernia, gallstones, varicose veins or stomach ulcers

When your sixth tone is active, you see the importance of taking care of your own needs before helping others. You are admired for your confidence and charisma and like to empower others to feel the same. You master the balance between staying true to yourself and working cohesively in a team. You never let anger bottle up inside, but make sure to address a conflict straight away.

You know your sixth tone is unhealthy when others cross your personal boundaries time and time again. However, you can’t let them know. You either feel very angry or completely powerless when a conflict arises. You put the need of others before your own, even if they don’t truly appreciate your help. You often feel like the scapegoat – as if people are out to get you.

Tone 7: Beauty

  • Physical Location: Womb or Sacrum
  • Native Energy: Chemical
  • Native Aspects: Water, Relationships, Emotions
  • Color: Orange
  • Purpose: To create sensations of beauty, gentility, femininity and creativity. The home of sensuality and sexuality
  • Symptoms of Dysfunction: Gynecological problems (such as fibroids, endometriosis, menstrual disorders, or ovarian problems), prostate problems, bowel disorders, low back pain, or bladder or urinary issues, eating disorder or intestinal parasites

You know your seventh tone is active when you cherish the relationship with yourself as your most important one. You embrace all aspects of your intimate and emotional life, and let yourself feel vulnerable and cry if you feel sad. You are happy with your body and know that it is beautiful because you made it so. Your sense of creativity is expressed in different areas of you life: when cooking, when playing with your children or when making love, just to mention some.

You know your seventh tone is inactive if your sense of perfection overrules your sense of creativity. You feel uncomfortable with the unknown and prefer to stick to the plan. Intimacy is a challenging area of you life, and you don’t like showing emotions. You rarely experience a sense of good chemistry with people you have just met – it takes a while for you to let people in.

Tone 8: Abundance

  • Physical Location: Rectum
  • Native Energy: Physical
  • Native Aspects: Earth, Blood, Sex, Money
  • Color: Red
  • Purpose: To make money with what you love. Have great sex. Manifest abundance
  • Symptoms of Dysfunction: Foot or leg pain, spinal problems, low bone density, adrenal issues, colon problems, hemorrhoids, sexual dysfunction (impotence or frigidity)

You know your eighth tone is active when you are making money, doing what you love. Other people admire you for your ability to create abundance and opportunities in all aspects of your life – money, sex and love – and to act on them with swiftness and grace. You feel safe in life and never let fear get the best of you.

You know your eighth tone is inactive when you feel trapped in money matters – no matter how much you work, there never seems to be enough. You work to live – not live to work. Your sex life doesn’t bring you joy, and neither do spiders, snakes, small rooms or large crowds – phobias are not unknown territory to you.

Hurricane Potential in The Gulf

Gulf of Mexico disturbance 96L poorly organized, but may develop
Posted by: Dr. Jeff Masters, on June 22, 2012 +27
An area of low pressure and heavy thunderstorms in the Southern Gulf of Mexico (designated 96L by NHC Thursday afternoon) is a threat to become a tropical depression this weekend, and all interests along the Gulf of Mexico coast should pay attention to the progress of this disturbance. The disturbance is bringing occasional heavy rains to Western Cuba, South Florida, and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Top winds measured in the surrounding ocean areas this morning were 27 mph, gusting to 34 mph, at the Yucatan Basin buoy between Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and the Cayman Islands. Our wundermap for the surrounding ocean areas show a ship that measured sustained winds of 30 mph near the western tip of Cuba this morning. Satellite-based surface wind measurements from the newly-available Oceansat-2 scatterometer, courtesy of India, show no signs of a surface circulation. Visible satellite loops show that 96L is less organized than it was Thursday evening, with only a little low-level spin apparent, and a modest area of disorganized thunderstorms. The decrease in organization is probably due to the moderate to high levels of wind shear of 15 – 25 knots over the region. Water vapor satellite loops show a modest region of dry air over the Central Gulf of Mexico, which is interfering with development. Ocean temperatures are 81 – 83°F in the Western Caribbean and Southern Gulf of Mexico, which is about 1°F above average, and warm enough to support formation of a tropical storm. A hurricane hunter mission is scheduled to investigate 96L this afternoon, but this mission will probably be cancelled due to the disturbance’s lack of organization.

Figure 1. Morning satellite image of the tropical disturbance 96L in the Southern Gulf of Mexico.

Forecast for 96L
Wind shear is predicted to remain in the moderate range through Saturday night, which is likely low enough to allow 96L to develop into a tropical depression; NHC gave 96L a 70% chance of developing into a tropical depression by Sunday morning, in their 8am EDT Tropical Weather Outlook. By Sunday, wind shear is predicted to increase, limiting 96L’s potential for intensification. Where the storm might go is anybody’s guess. The GFS model has consistently been predicting that a trough of low pressure pushing off of the U.S. East Coast will be capable of grabbing the disturbance and accelerating it to the northeast across Florida north of Tampa Bay on Sunday or Monday. However, an ensemble of forecasts from the model created by running the model with slight perturbations to the initial conditions shows a wide range of possible tracks, both to the east over Florida, and to the west towards Texas and Louisiana (Figure 2.) The latest ECMWF model run (00 UTC) predicts that the trough will not be strong enough to pull 96L northeastwards across Florida. The ECMWF predicts that a ridge of high pressure will build in over the Southern U.S., forcing the disturbance westwards across the Gulf of Mexico and into South Texas by Thursday. The UKMET model also favors a track west towards Texas. The NOGAPS model takes 96L to the northwest into Louisiana/Texas by Monday.

Figure 2. Which way will 96L go? The GFS model, when run at low resolution with 20 slightly different perturbations to the initial conditions in order to generate an ensemble of different forecasts, shows two distinct possibilities: a sharp east turn to move over Florida, or a west or northwest motion towards Louisiana or Texas. The high-resolution official GFS forecast is shown in white.
