Your Color Vibe for Saturday – June 20

Saturday, June 20:   Deep Orchid

Sometimes you can discover that what you know and what you do not know are the same thing. This can lead to some interesting situations.   You will be facing some of those today, so it is a good idea not to speak before you have absorbed what is going on around you, what is being said, what you just saw. There are surprises in the air today and as the Solstice draws near, the Trickster is about with his usual antics. Keep your sense of humor close by for you will need it. This is not a day for letting negative emotions come to the surface for they can esily get out of control.

6th Mass Extinction – Ongoing

Here’s More Proof Earth Is in Its 6th Mass Extinction

Strong Solar Flare

OLSTICE AURORA WATCH: On June 18th, sunspot AR2371 unleashed the strongest solar flare in nearly 2 months. The M3-class explosion caused a brief shortwave radio blackout over North America, and it hurled a CME into space. SOHO (the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory) recorded a movie of the expanding cloud:

The CME is not heading directly for Earth. Nevertheless, it is probably geoeffective. According to NOAA computer models, the CME should deliver a glancing blow to our planet’s magnetic field during the late hours of June 21st. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for solstice auroras.

Ontario, Canada – Methane Gas Eruption

6/20/2015 — Major Geologic movement in Ontario Canada — Methane Gas Geyser bursts from the ground

A large burst of naturally occurring methane has occurred in Lambton Shores, Ontario Canada, located about 80 miles Northeast of Detroit along the shores of Lake Michigan.

Appearing more like a violent geyser eruption at Yellowstone super-volcano, this large emission of methane caught locals off guard — as this is not ‘normal’ by any means.

Officials are saying this is a ‘natural’ burst of gas from the ground, and have issued a local state of emergency – warning people to keep away from the area.

_________

Methane bursts are a worst case scenario according to professionals like the Arctic Methane Emergency Group (AMEG).

Scientists have warned we would start seeing these types of methane emissions in sub-tundra areas now that the Post Glacial Rebound Effect is taking hold in earnest.

http://www.lakeshoreadvance.com/2015/06/17/natural-gas-leak-at-indian-hills-golf-course

“Indian Hills golf course staff have posted an update regarding the eruption of natural gas this week. Earlier this week the course was closed because naturally occurring gases had been observed being released from the ground in a localized area of the golf course. There continues to be no risk to the public outside of the site. The monitoring and testing will continue. The declared localized emergency remains in effect.

” Here is our understanding at this time. We cannot allow anyone on the golf course until we know that the situation is stable and no gas is leaking from the ground. We have all the required survey’s and tests lined up to take place today, tomorrow and over the weekend and into the start of next week. We hope to reopen by next weekend and should be able to have clear answers to exactly what happened.

“As of 10am on Friday things are looking almost normal which is allowing us to do further tests that will ensure the publics safety.
Thanks for everyones understanding of the situation.”

Lambton Shores Deputy Mayor Cook stated “The Municipality is continuing to work with the Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, as the owners of the golf course in conjunction with experts in this area.” Residents are being asked to stay away from the immediate area until advised that the situation has been resolved.

The public may call 2-1-1 for any updates on the situation.”

Cause of natural gas bubbles in Lambton Shores thought to be natural

http://www.theobserver.ca/2015/06/18/cause-of-natural-gas-bubbles-in-lambton-shores-thought-to-be-natural

“Municipal officials in Lambton Shores declared a “localized state of emergency” Thursday, one day after a natural gas leak at a local golf course bubbled and released methane gas.

Doug Cook, the town’s deputy mayor, announced the state of emergency for the Indian Hills Golf Course and surrounding subdivision following a meeting of the Municipal Emergency Control group.

Gas has continued to leak into the air since Wednesday morning, and with no indication of when it might stop.

“We’re hoping it will dissipate in the near future,” Cook told The Observer. “There may be more radical steps to take if not, but at this point, there’s not much we can do.”

Firefighters and Lambton OPP responded to reports shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday from a nearby First Nations group of a strange odour coming from a creek.

The golf course was evacuated when the leak was discovered, and access to Indian Hill Trail West remains restricted, said Const. Travis Parsons, the OPP’s community services and media relations officer.

Cook said the evacuation was a precautionary measure and there is no risk to the public outside the gas leak site.

The cause of the leak is under investigation and is assumed to be naturally occurring gas venting to the surface. If that’s the case, it would be a rare incident since natural gas is usually found in pockets deep into the ground.

Natural gas, used as an energy source for heating, cooking, and power generation, is flammable when it mixes with air at certain concentrations.

Union Gas accompanied the firefighters to the site and determined the leak was indeed natural gas and contained methane, according to Andrea Stass, Union Gas’ manager of media relations. The utility company does not have any natural gas pipelines in the area, she added.

Representatives from the Ministry of the Environment and Ministry of Natural Resources are working in tandem to monitor the leak, but are not responsible for testing or determining the cause of the gas bubbles.

“Our focus is making sure the sampling work is done to determine the cause,” said environment ministry spokesperson Kate Jordan. “Once we have that or further information, that will really help us to determine what the appropriate next steps are.”

That responsibility falls to the Kettle and Stony Point First Nation who technically own the land. It also falls within the municipality. As such, the First Nation has hired a consultant to determine where the gas is coming from.

The environment ministry did a review of the area for any possible sources of methane, but found nothing, Jordan said.

While there is a commercial sewage treatment plant on the golf course that sends treated “effluent” back to the creek, the ministry concluded “there is no indication that the sewage treatment plant or its effluent could be contributing to the methane release.”

The ministry also determined there is no possibility that the methane would present a health risk to people outside the immediate area, Jordan said. The municipality’s drinking water is safe.

“While signs may point to this being a naturally occurring gas leak, this has not been confirmed definitively,” Jordan said.

But Cook said with no possible sources of man-made pollutants releasing the methane, the consensus and “best opinion” is the gas leak is natural.

He added he had never heard of a naturally occurring gas leak before. Stass from Union Gas said she had heard of one other case in over 15 years working with the Chatham-based utility.

Lambton Shores, the First Nation and its consultant, as well as Ministry of the Environment officials are meeting again Friday. Until then, the state of emergency remains in effect and the public is advised to avoid the area.”

SOme Edible Wild Plants

20 Edible Plants That Could Save Your Life

by Zen Gardner – Jun 15, 2015

0 12

Sometimes, you have to think outside of the freeze-dried food paradigm. You may find yourself in the woods forced to run from your home or camp because of marauders with nothing to eat. Fortunately, there are many edible plants that can save your life if you know what they are, how to identify them and are comfortable with preparing them.

I don’t personally think that I will love eating a bunch of weeds to survive, but I will if needed. In a long-term disaster, I would certainly consider them vital to preserving life and the right edible plants could augment your gardens and food stores. I wanted to write up this list of 20 edible plants that are found mostly in the temperate region. There are certainly others you could find growing near you, but this is a good start. If I am able to master 20 edible plants in the area where I live, I would consider that a huge benefit to my prepping needs.

There are a lot of very recognizable plants you can eat like strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and so on, but I didn’t want to add those to the list.

Plants to avoid

Before you grab a good book on edible plants and run out into the woods with a bowl and a fork, you should practice some caution with this process. Not all plants are edible and knowing what not to eat is just as important as knowing what to eat. Before you forage, here are some simple rules to follow when you are trying to identify a plant.

Do not eat any plants that have the following traits

  • Milky or discolored sap
  • Grain heads with purple/pink or black spurs
  • Beans, bulbs or seeds inside pods
  • Yellow, white or red berries
  • Soapy or bitter taste
  • Never eat plants with thorns.
  • Steer clear of plants with shiny leaves.
  • Don’t eat mushrooms. Many are safe to eat, but many are highly toxic and even deadly, so it’s not worth the risk.
  • Umbrella-shaped flowers are a bad sign. Stay away from these plants.
  • Avoid anything that smells like almonds.
  • Same as poison ivy, stay away from plants with leaves in groups of three.

In addition to avoiding all of those traits, you want to forage for wild edible plants in areas that are less likely to have toxins. Plants growing near homes could have been sprayed many times with chemicals. Plants in water that is contaminated will likely hold that same contamination. Plants by the road will have picked up many harmful chemicals and pollution.

Before eating, use the Universal Edibility Test

Before taking the test, you need to fast for 8 hours. If you are desperate enough to need to find edible plants, this might be already the case.

  1. Test only one part of a potential food plant at a time.
  2. Separate the plant into its basic components – leaves, stems, roots, buds and flowers
  3. Smell the food for strong or acid odors. Remember, smell alone does not indicate if a plant is edible or not.
  4. During the 8 hours you are fasting, test for contact poisoning by placing a piece of the plant part you are testing on the inside of your elbow or wrist. Usually 15 minutes is enough time to get a reaction if there is going to be one.
  5. During the test period, take nothing by mouth except purified water and that plant part you are testing.
  6. Select a small portion of a single part and prepare it the way you plan to eat it.
  7. Before placing the prepared plant part in your mouth, touch a small portion (a pinch) to the outer surface of your lip to test for burning or itching.
  8. If after 3 minutes there is no reaction on your lip, place the plant part on your tongue and hold it there for 15 minutes. DO NOT SWALLOW.
  9. If there is no burning, itching, numbing, stinging , or any other irritation, swallow the plant part.
  10. Wait 8 hours. If any ill effects occur during this period, induce vomiting and drink a lot of water.
  11. If no ill effects occur, each ¼ cup of the same plant part prepared the same way. Wait another 8 hours. If everything is still good after all of these steps, the plant is considered edible.

Note: Just because the part you tested is edible, that doesn’t mean the entire plant is edible. Test all parts the same way before eating them.

List of Edible Plants

Amaranth (Amaranthus retroflexus and other species)

Amaranth is an edible weed found almost everywhere. You can eat all parts of the plant but some leaves contain spines. Boil the leaves to remove the oxalic acid and nitrates.

Asparagus (Asparagus officinalis)

Wild Asparagus grows in most of Europe and North America. This looks different than the fatter stalks you normally eat but can be eaten raw or boiled. Add a little butter and salt.

Burdock (Arctium lappa)

Young plant roots and stems can be cooked by boiling for about 20 minutes, then season to taste. Before cooking however, the stems should be peeled, and roots scrubbed in order to remove the bitter rind.

Cattail (Typha species)

The lower parts of the leaves can be used in a salad; the young stems can be eaten raw or boiled; the young flowers (cattails) can be roasted.

Clover (Trifolium)

I have never been able to find a four-leaf clover but you can’t walk out in my back yard without stepping on this plant. You can eat the leaves raw or boil them.

Chicory (Cichorium intybus)

Leaves and root. Although the flower is edible, it is very bitter.

Chickweed (Stekkarua media)

Chickweed is a very nutritious herb, containing Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, E along with Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorous, Potassium, Selenium, Silicon, Sodium, Sulfur and Zinc plus essential fatty acids. It can be eaten as a salad vegetable or cooked and eaten like cabbage.

Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)

Dandelion leaves can be added to a salad or cooked. They can also be dried and stored for the winter or blanched and frozen.

Persimmon (Diospyros virginiana)

Persimmons are rich in vitamins A and B, and are a good source of fiber. To get the most nutritional value from persimmons, it’s best to eat them raw.

Plantain (Plantago species)

The leaves can be eaten raw or steamed for a spinach substitute, and are awesome raw in salads and blended into green smoothies, especially the younger ones as the mature leaves may taste slightly bitter.

Pokeweed (Phytolacca americana)

Pokeweed can be poisonous if not prepared carefully. You have to ensure you don’t get the roots and the shoots aren’t too long. Make sure you learn more about the proper cultivation and preparation of this plant before eating it.

Prickly pear cactus (Opuntia species)

Both the pads and the fruit of the prickly pear cactus are edible.

Purslane (Portulaca oleracea)

Purslane

Sassafras (Sassafras albidum)

The leaves of Sassafras texture and can be used raw or cooked in salads or eaten right off the plant, unlike the berries, the leaves have a mild pleasant taste.

Your Color Vibe for Monday, June 15

Monday, June 15:   Purple

The seeds have been planted, the roots are there, and the buds are springing forth. It is time to nourish and nurture the new you that is in this critical period of transformation. Things have been on hold for quite a while, and they will continue so for just a few more days. If you are aware, you can feel the shift, you can sense the new beginnings. The times are growing short and things are becoming somewhat serious. There are decisions to be made and steps to be taken. What are you going to do about all of this? This is a day for going within, for marinating, for opening to the deep wisdom of your inner knowing. You are always taken care of. It is well to allow that to be.

Your Color Vibe for Sunday, 6-14

Sunday, June 14:   Rose

Shiny Things – There are so many shiny things around today that it is super hard to concentrate on any one thing. And that is okay. This is a day for recognizing, acknowledging, appreciating, and moving on. Things come up in your life sometimes just for you to see. And that is what today is all about. You will be seeing and encountering many things today. They can trigger memories or they can be stored away to be triggered another day. All of that is part of what is happening today. There is joy in the air today (finally), and there will be some issues that will be resolved and there will be some realization that some things just are not meant to be resolved just now.

North American Craton Movement

6/14/2015 — Whole North American Craton moves in 24 hours time + New Madrid earthquake swarm

The whole of the North American Craton was displaced over the past 24 hours (up to 845am CDT June 14, 2015).

The graphic below speaks for itself, showing a 4.0M fracking earthquake along the NW edge of the plate in Alberta Canada, followed by earthquakes further South , 50 miles East of Mount Adams + Mount Rainier Volcanoes in Washington State, and at Clear Lake Volcano in Northern California.

In addition to the earthquakes at multiple volcanoes, we see a new swarm has developed at the Oklahoma fracking operations, and a more rare earthquake swarm developing along the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ).

craton earthquakes june 14 2015a
Past 24 hours of 2.5M+ earthquakes in North America shows the edge of the craton being displaced from the NW to the South + Southeast. Beginning with a 4.0M earthquake, followed by movement to the South at dormant volcanoes, and then further southeast at fracking operations in Oklahoma, then causing craton movement along the New Madrid Seismic Zone.

_________

In the most recent earthquake forecast, I fully discussed the activity to expect along the craton edge, and explain how the earthquakes are transferring along the “edge” of the unsubducted plate.

The movement seems to be happening in a pattern extending from the Northwest to the Southeast, producing noteworthy earthquakes along the boundaries between older, and younger plate regions.

See the earthquake forecast here:

_________

Below is a past example of craton movement caused by West coast earthquake activity.

The screenshots below show earthquakes on the West coast preceded midwest earthquake activity by a few days (or less), and eventually caused a New Madrid Seismic Zone Earthquake following the pressure transfer as it passed EASTWARD.

As the pressure transferred East, it released at “weak points” producing earthquakes at dormant Volcanoes along the West coast, also produced activity at the Fracking operations in Colorado + Oklahoma, finally terminating with a single event along the New Madrid Seismic Zone.

This graphic is from May 1, 2015.

Going Within Is More Important Now Than Ever

There is so much stuff out there nowadays that the only conclusion one can come to is confusion, and confusion is not a conclusion.  It is the result of an Illusion.  This Illusion is being perpetrated and perpetuated by those things and people around us that are looking to control by taking your power- the media, the electronics, the food, the pollution, the misery, the derision.  Look around and it is pretty much patently obvious that the world as it is right now is on the edge.

The planet, beautiful Gaia, is crying, and people are not listening, not respecting, not opening.  So she is moving, and that brings in weather related events.  Areas need to be cleansed.  People need to be awakened.  But on the other hand, there are those who wish to create their own weather events and destroy the life for their own agendas.

There is a climax in the offing, and it is approaching ore quickly than one might wish, but there it is.

What can you do?  Go within.  Use your intuition.  Look from the eyes of the heart.  If something seems wrong, then it probably is.  Trust your gut.  If something looks wrong, it probably is.  Observe the signs.  If it does not seem right to take that road, turn around.  If people you know seem somewhat strange, it is time for a new gathering.

Open to the energies of the Universal Consciousness that are all around you and turn away from the illusions that are being touted as THE reality.  They have power over you only if you so choose.

What We Know About The Bilderbergs

4 things we know about the secretive Bilderberg Group and 1 thing we’ll never know

The secretive meeting brings together big international business and top-level government

We know where the meetings are held

The location of the meetings is now public. Last year, the Danish capital of Cophenhagen was the venue of choice.

This year, the world’s elites will travel to the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol in the Austrian Alps.

We know who attends them

Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls (left) and Chancellor George Osborne appearing on BBC One's The Andrew Marr Show The group releases a list of attendees. From the UK this year George Osborne and Ed Balls are attending.

Other people going to the 2015 meet-up include José Barroso, the former EU Commission President, and executives from firms including Google, BP, Shell, and Deutsche Bank.

We know what’s on the agenda

Greece’s troubles continue Prior to meetings the group releases broad subject areas for debate. This year, all we know is that they’ll be discussing “Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Chemical Weapons Threats, Current Economic Issues, European Strategy, Globalisation, Greece, Iran, Middle East, NATO, Russia, Terrorism, United Kingdom, USA, US Elections”.

A lot of these subjects hints are very broad-ranging. ‘United Kingdom’, for instance, could be a reference to the Brexit, the recent elections, or both.

We know they take security very seriously

Austrian Police officers check cars near the town of Telfs Austrian Police officers check cars near the town of Telfs The area around the meetings is put into complete lockdown. There is no need to rely on private security: national governments of host countries cooperate fully and provide police protection.

This year’s summit starts on Thursday but already a zone around the Interalpen-Hotel Tyro has been established by Austrian police with security checks on vehicles entering and exiting the area.

Arrests have been made at previous meetings, including of journalists trying to find out what is going on.

But… we’ll never know what was said

People who attend the events do not, as a rule, talk about the specifics of what was discussed. This includes politicians whose job is to represent their constituents.

There are no minutes taken of the meetings, and no reports are made of any conclusions reached. No votes are taken and no policies proscribed. Journalists trying to interview participants at meetings have previously been arrested.

The specifics of most international summits and meetings tend to be fairly opaque, but some public announcement is usually made as to conclusions reached.

Not so with the Bilderberg Group; the global establishment departs as quietly as it arrives.
