On August 25th there will be the second “twin” Star of David or Star Tetahedron configuration.
What this offers us, should we choose to take it, is another opportunity to connect to our *heart* space and spend time in sacred space with a feeling of intentionality. Time to active, which means time to tune in to our hearts and use our energetic power to hold space for peace, to embody peace through our actions, thoughts and words.
Anchor it.
Tune in.
Feel it.
Bring Spirit into Matter, light into form, through your intention, through your HEART. It is the Gateway >>>
And just know that you won’t be the only one doing this. Just know that I will be holding the space with you and many many other circles and communities and individual hearts all around the planet will be tuning in too.
WE >>> Let’s call in/embody/feel the love and anchor in the balance of feminine and masculine energies.
As above so below.
A window of synchronicity, an opportunity for entrainment.
Then…hold steady a feeling~vision of  >>>peace <<< for our planet.

Here are the MYSTIC MAMMA Astral Insights for this auspicious day and a call to align our thoughts and hearts in holding space for love.
Featuring the always wonderful  Dipali Desai  from her Celestial Space Astrology:
“On August 25th, 2013 (EST) we arrive to the ‘twin’ or second ‘Star Gateway’ also known in astrology as the Star of David aspect (or a Grand Sextile aspect). These star gateways are important opportunities for major shifts in Consciousness to to expand beyond fear-based limitations of the past. The energy is ripe and fertile with potential to embrace a greater union of Spirit and Matter or Heart and Mind and or Sacred Masculine and Feminine within the heart energy space.”
“It is wise to contemplate where we are now after the first initial gateway and shift and the experiences that have transpired since then. And then where we are headed while consciously utilizing the potential of this second auspicious energy.”
“With transiting Jupiter in Cancer just finishing up being a part of a powerfully intensified ‘T-square’ aspect with Uranus and Pluto, there has been major re-working and big transitions going on up until now.  It’s like moving from densely packed energy to something old shattering, moving us into a wide open space thus there is room for new energy and possibilities to emerge within Consciousness on a individual and collective level.”
“We have been prepared to open and become ready to receive with effortlessness and grace now. Venus in Libra makes an Opposition to Uranus in Aries retrograde, while making a tense aspect to Pluto in Capricorn retrograde. This signifies a time where unrest, conflict and discord rises up to be cleansed and purged within individuals, relationships and groups and the collective. This Second Star Gateway includes the vibration of “Restoring Peace and Harmony.”
“This second gateway in Consciousness builds on the first which occurred on July 29th, 2013…It is a magnificent opportunity to activate ‘effortless manifestation’ seed of light within us and on the planet. Remember, there is earth element involved with this Twin Aspect Star Gateway on August 25th, 2013 and with that helps us bring the non-visible into the physical body and dimension.”

“Here is a simple overview:
“In sacred geometry, the six pointed star is known as Star Tetrahedron and Spiritually, it is called a Mer (rotating light) Ka (Soul or Spirit) (Ba) Physical Body.  We have the opportunity to bring into greater alignment our body, mind, heart into relationship with Soul.
“The Star of David, also known as the Seal of Solomon is an esoteric symbol. In India, the six pointed star has been associating with Shiva/Shakti interconnection or Divine Masculine/Feminine in harmony and union. When the triangles merge with each other to form the shape of a hexagon, it can be seen as a state of manifestation. Star of David is an unusual alignment that opens a gateway into Consciousness.
“The “Star Gateway, Grand Sextile or Star of David aspect” begins building up 1 week prior to to and becomes exact on August 25th, 2013. On Eastern Standard Timezone, consider the energy building by 11:00 am EST as the Moon enters Taurus. — Check for your local day and time to be sure when it starts for you.
“From my perspective, when experiencing such major Astrological and energetic configurations, it is more about the entire experience than exact one moment or time since linear time really does not exist in higher dimensions…What is really important is our ‘intention.‘ That carries more weight since a  clear intention directs our energy rather than worrying about the exact time of the aspect.”

“Astrological Point of view: Two Grand Trines form a Star of David Aspect as well as in total configuration a Grand Sextile aspect, and for the second time in Earth and Water elements.
1st Grand Trine: (Earth element)
  • Sun/Mercury in Virgo
  • Moon in Taurus
  • Pluto in Capricorn Retrograde
2nd Grand Trine: (Water element)
  • Jupiter in Cancer
  • Saturn in Scorpio
  • Chiron in Pisces retrograde /Neptune in Pisces retrograde
“Since this  is the second of the ‘Twin’ Star Gateways and equally as potent as the first, we want to bear in mind that it is helpful to consciously work with the potentials happening now. There may be a myriad of emotions and feelings surfacing now and some what having more space to emerge than before. I do sense there is potential for clarity too as old debris at this stage has been cleared.
“The union of sacred masculine and feminine energy is possible, even if it is to the next level or degree that is appropriate for each individual on their path.
“There is a strong possibility that ‘details’ slowly begin presenting themselves for new possibilities. The plan or stages begin to reveal themselves about how to take a ‘seed’ inspiration or idea and implement it to fruition with utmost fluidity.
“The harmony between Earth and Water is felt and experienced through feelings and sensations. There is wonderful opportunity for greater balance within the Sacred Feminine and Masculine through the heart energetic center. Imagine when these two energies are in harmony and peace with one another.
We can feel the gratitude for the blessings being bestowed upon us now. It’s possible to see old symbolic seeds we planted long while back, slowly come into manifestation.  We must remain in integrity and alignment and joining the August 25th will help each maintain this state of Consciousness to receive higher Spiritual Energy, beauty and harmony given forth from the Universe.”

Perfect sight without glasses: The Bates method – natural eyesight improving therapy, rejected by mainstream optometry

Friday, August 23, 2013 by: Antonia

(NaturalNews) In 1920, William Bates, a brilliant American physician with a strong interest in ophthalmology, proposed a theory that would send ripples across the medical establishment of the time – that eyeglasses are harmful and that vision problems can be corrected through a series of eye exercises and subtle lifestyle changes. Bates treated many patients based on these principles, and published his findings in a comprehensive book called Perfect Sight Without Glasses (or The Cure of Imperfect Sight by Treatment Without Glasses).

Challenging the establishment

In mainstream ophthalmology, vision defects like nearsightedness and farsightedness are described as being caused by defects in the anatomy of the eye, which cannot be cured through eye exercises. Bates; however, believed that some vision defects are caused by tension in the muscles of the eyeball, and that this tension can be reduced and eventually eliminated. Bates described eyeglasses as “crutches,” that encourage the eyes to become lazy as they accommodate to using the corrective lens.

Unlike most traditional ophthalmologists, Bates believed that regular people can learn how to improve their vision naturally, using simple healing techniques. He emphasized the importance of improving blood circulation, getting a lot of sunlight, and using mental images to achieve a state of inner balance and relaxation.

Principles of the Bates Method

“Perfect Sight Without Glasses” tackles numerous problems that Bates felt were plaguing traditional ophthalmology, and suggests four primary treatments for vision defects: palming, visualization, eye movement and sunning. Some of these treatments are still applied today, primarily by behavioral optometrists.

For an ideal palming exercise, Bates suggested that patients first close their eyes for a few minutes to induce a state of visual relaxation. Next, patients are to cover their eyes with their palms, without applying pressure, and maintain this posture for a few minutes at a time.

Visualization of mental images is a central concept in the Bates method, as it is believed not only to help induce relaxation, but also to help improve focus. One exercise involves the ability to visualize perfect black (the darker it appears, the more relaxed the mind is said to be).

Eye movement (such as swinging the eyes from left to right and up and down), an important part of the Bates method that is still used in vision therapy today, helps improve eye coordination, blood circulation and eye movement control. Bates believed that the more a patient can control their eye “swings,” the more it will help their vision.

The Bates method stipulated that moderate exposure to sunlight, called sunning, can also benefit vision. He suggested that patients close their eyes and turn their faces to the sun, letting the sunlight shine on their closed eyelids.

After Bates’ death, his followers gradually incorporated dietary recommendations into the method. Though some vision therapists recognized the many benefits of his proposed treatments, Bates came under heavy fire from his peers, and today many researchers feel that the method is difficult to test scientifically, since it so strongly depends on a subjective feeling of well-being.

How I Left the Room Without My Phone and Lived to Tell the Tale

Posted: 08/18/2013 12:32 am

By Terri Trespicio

For one long moment, I debated the issue. Should I take my phone with me, or leave it here? I was only going to be gone an hour or so. I made the mental calculations — who might need me, what I might need it for. There was an emotional tug (I want it with me). This was a test. Could I be apart from it? Yes, I decided. I could.

After all, it was not even 8 a.m. on a Saturday. And I was on my way out.

To a massage.

See, this is a problem. Because there was not one person who had any interest in reaching me at that moment, nor did I have a need for anyone else. But it’s enough to sound the alarm bell, even for me — because this isn’t the practical weighing of a situation. (Will I need the umbrella?) This is the cry of a dependent person.

Oh, and it gets better. I wasn’t even home. I was away for the weekend, at a retreat center called Old Stone Farm, a charming 200-acre estate nestled away in teeny tiny Staatsburg in upstate New York. I was staying in a restored 18th-century barn and was about to get worked over by a professional energy healer/massage therapist, who would attempt to undo the very stress-induced knots I spend my life getting into. Yeah, I could probably do without Twitter, at least until breakfast.

The pathological Pavlovian response dictated by our devices is undeniable. In a survey conducted at meQuilibrium, 50 percent of respondents reported checking their work email outside of work, including on weekends and vacations. Sixty-one percent admitted that they can’t ignore their devices, and check them within the hour of receiving an alert, text or email. And what’s worse, 61 percent said they feel jealous, depressed or even sad after checking status updates. They feel worse! But they keep checking! (Read more about the survey findings.)

We don’t just have devices — we have a collective digital rash. And we keep scratching. We’re not just connected, we’re inflamed by our hyper-reachability. This goes back to the issue of stress addiction, which I wrote about recently, in which we crave that excitement, thrill, the “what’s next”-ness that our tiny handheld oracles deliver hour after hour. Sure, some of our fuss is about putting out fires, but it’s also incredibly optimistic — because you never know when that great piece of news, that amazing opportunity, will be delivered by the universe in a single ping. And who wants to miss that?

But I knew it was worth the risk to really enjoy the massage (a blend of Thai stretching and chakra work — super-groovy stuff that felt amazing). Rather than scanning the digital horizon for what would come next, I had the profound experience of deep diving into the moment, of becoming aware of my body and mind, yet comfortably detached from all its trappings (the judgments, the thoughts, the reactions). The only way to describe it is that I was being slowly unraveled, like a tangled, kinked electrical wire — and who better than an energy healer to do it?

I’m happy to report I didn’t miss anything during those 90 minutes. Not a damn thing. I think about what would have been different if I had brought my phone. Nothing. It would have sat there in my bag, dumb as a stone. And when I walked (floated) out, my energy, usually firing in jagged sparks, flowed in a single, glowing wave. I felt connected and whole — without being connected to anything at all.

Psychic Vampire Defense

I am putting this up as there are many psychic attacks and challenges at this time with the great energy shifts and changes that are happening at this time.  This is not the only way to deal with these things.  I am suggesting you be aware.  I am hoping that you will take the time to develop your own protections system which radiates from within your core and out through all the various levels and bodies of your physicality and spirit.  Take time daily to ground and center and to open the true eyes of your heart.  listen to your intuition and trust it.  Your intuition is connected to the Universal Consciousness and is Universal Consciousness whispering to you in love and oneness.

And now:

Psychic Vampires - How to Recognize and Protect Yourself From an Energy Vampire
Psychic Vampires – How to Recognize and Protect Yourself From an Energy Vampire

Last updated on August 24, 2013 at 12:00 am EDT by in5d Alternative News

Energy vampirism is a parasitic relationship in which one person feeds off of the life force (also known as prana) of another person. These people who drain other’s energy are referred to as psychic vampires. But despite this definition, it is impossible to take energy from someone else. So why does it feel possible?

In this episode Teal explains how to recognize a psychic vampire, how to prevent yourself from loosing energy as the result of one and urges us to recognize the patterns of vampirism within ourselves. Psychic vampires do not feel as if this universe is infinite. They do not feel that it is possible to get the love that they desire. They do not trust themselves to fulfill their own needs. And as a result, they believe that the only way to get what they need is to take it from others. Believe it or not, the remedy for victim and vampire is the same!

Both must realize the truth that it is impossible to take energy from someone or have your energy taken by someone. If you feel drained of energy or like you don’t have enough, it is because you are not allowing yourself to think thoughts that let that energy in. Then, both need to do the following:

1. Develop Authenticity (create and find the true self).
2. Develop Autonomy and a sense of healthy self sufficiency where one feels capable of fulfilling one’s own needs
3. Nurture themselves (cultivate self love).
4. Commit to their life and physical body.
5. Develop self trust (if we really trusted our own internal guidance system and our own ability to “discern” we would not worry about what other people could do to us),
6. Learn to see and expect nuances (gray areas and complexities) instead of seeing the world as black and white with villains and victims
7. Study the behaviors they want to receive from others (for example: do you want to be caressed? Appreciated? Listened to?) And practice doing those things to others.
Any thought you can think and anything you can do to help yourself feel empowered, will put you in a vibrational space beyond where you would be a match to either being a psychic vampire or being a victim to one.

Alan Watts on Brain vs Body

Brain against Body: Confusing Needs with Desires

We have been taught to neglect, despise, and violate our bodies, and to put all faith in our brains. Indeed, the special disease of civilized man might be described as a block or schism between his brain [specifically, the cortex] and the rest of his body. This corresponds to the split between “I” and “me,” man and nature, and to the confusion of Ouroborus, the mixed-up snake, who does not know that his tail belongs with his head. Scientists Lancelot Whyte and Trigant Burrow calls this disease the “European dissociation,” not because it is peculiar to European-American civilization, but because it is specially characteristic of it.

It is simply saying in “medical” language that we have allowed brain thinking to develop and dominate our lives out of all proportion to “instinctual wisdom,” which we are allowing to slump into atrophy. As a consequence, we are at war within ourselves – the brain desiring things which the body does not want, and the body desiring things which the brain does not allow; the brain giving directions which the body will not follow, and the body giving impulses which the brain cannot understand.

When we compare human with animal desire we find many extraordinary differences. The animal tends to eat with his stomach, and the man with his brain. When the animal’s stomach is full, he stops eating, but the man is never sure when to stop. When he has eaten as much as his belly can take, he still feels empty, he still feels an urge for further gratification. This is largely due to anxiety, to the knowledge that a constant supply of food is uncertain. Therefore eat as much as you can while you can. It is due, also, to the knowledge that, in an insecure world, pleasure is uncertain. Therefore the immediate pleasure of eating must be exploited to the full, even though it does violence to the digestion.

Despite the immense hubbub and nervous strain, we are convinced that sleep [which is also a form of meditation] is a waste of valuable time and continue to chase our fantasies far into the night, whether in sleep or in forced insomnia. Animals spend much of their time dozing and idling pleasantly, but, because life is short, human beings must cram into the years the highest possible amount of egoic-intellectual consciousness, alertness, and chronic insomnia so as to be sure not to miss the last fragment of startling pleasure.

The vague, nebulous and insatiable character of brainy desire makes it particularly hard to come down to earth – to be material and real. Generally speaking, the civilized man does not know what he wants. He works for success, fame, a happy marriage, fun, to help others, or to be a “real person”. But these are not real wants because thy are not actually things. They are the by-products, the flavors and atmospheres of real things – shadows which have no existence apart from some substance. Money is the perfect symbol for all such desires, being a mere symbol of real wealth, and to make it one’s goal is the most blatant example of confusing measurements with reality.

It is therefore far from correct to say that modern civilization is materialistic, that is if a materialist is a person who loves matter. The brainy modern loves not matter but measures, not solids but surfaces. He drinks for the percentage of alcohol (“spirit”) and not for the “body” and taste of the liquid. He builds to put up an impressive “front” rather than provide a space for living. Therefore he tends to put up structures which appear from the outside to be a baronial mansions but are inwardly warrens. The individual living-units in these warrens are designed less for living as for creating an impression. The main space is devoted to a “living room” of proportions suitable to a large house, while such essential spaces for living (rather than mere “entertaining”) as the kitchen are reduced to small closets where one can hardly move–much less cook. Consequently these wretched little galleys provide fare which is chiefly gaseous–cocktails and “appetizers” rather than honest meals. Because we all want to be “ladies and gentlemen” and look as if we had servants, we do not soil our hands with growing and cooking real food. Instead we buy our products designed for “front” and appearance rather than content–immense and tasteless fruit, bread which is little more than a light froth, wine faked with chemicals, and vegetables flavored with the arid concoctions of test tubes which render them so much impressive pulp.

One might suppose that the most outright example of civilized man’s beastliness and animality is his passion for sex, but in fact there is almost nothing beastly or animal about it. Animals have sexual intercourse when they feel like it, which is usually in some sort of rhythmic pattern. Between whiles it does not interest them. But of all pleasures sex is the one which civilized man pursues with the greatest anxiety. That the craving is brainy rather than bodily is shown by the common impotence of the male when he comes to act, his brain pursuing what his genes do not want at the moment desire. This confuses him hopelessly, because he simply cannot understand not wanting the great delicacy of sex when it is available. He has been hankering after it for hours and days on end, but when the reality appears his body will not co-operate.

A particularly significant example of brain against body, or measures against matter, is urban man’s total slavery to clocks. A clock is a convenient device for arranging to meet a friend, or for helping people to do things together, although things of this kind happened long before they were invented. Clocks should not be smashed; they should simply be kept in their place. And they are very much out of their place when we try to adapt our biological rythyms of eating, sleeping, evacuation, working, and relaxing to their uniform circular rotation. Our slavery to these mechanical drill masters has gone so far and our whole culture is so involved with it that reform is a forlorn hope; without them civilization would collapse entirely. A less brainy culture would learn to synchronize its body rhythms rather than its clocks.

For the brain, including its reasoning and calculating centers, is a part and product of the body. It is as natural as the heart and stomach, and rightly used, is anything but an enemy of man. But to be used rightly it must be put in its place, for the brain is made for man, not man for his brain. In other words, the function of the brain is to serve the present and the real, not to send man chasing wildly after the phantoms of future or escaping such from the past or vice versa.

Furthermore, in our habitual state of mental tension the brain does not work properly, and this is one reason why its abstractions seem to have so great a reality. When the heart is out of order, we are clearly conscious of its beating; it becomes a distraction, pounding within the breast. It seems most probable that our preoccupation with thinking and planning, together with the sense of mental fatigue, is a sign of some disorder of the brain. The brain should, and in some cases does, calculate and reason with the unconscious ease of the other bodily organs. After all, the brain is not a muscle, and thus is not designed for effort and strain.

But when most people try to think or concentrate, they behave as if they were trying to push their brains around. They screw up their faces, knit their brows, and approach mental problems as if they were something like heaving bricks. Yet you do not have to grind and strain to digest food, and still less to see, hear, and receive other neural impressions.

Time Dilation Fields

Gillian MacBeth-Louthan
Tuesday, 20 August, 2013

Father Time makes Himself known again rerouting the very best of intentions, sidestepping the 24 hr day and running us around in circles. Time as we know it cannot be forced into pigeon holes nor trained to do our bidding. Time has grown its own wings and takes flight into previously unknown patterns, reconstructing the highways and byways of what was.

The sextants of humanities DNA demand that it fly in a direction that brings a quickening. Do not take for granted what is etched in sand on the hourglass of time. For what once was instructed and carved in stone has shifted in context. The timelines cannot be tamed nor ridden into submission.

What was taken for granted is challenged non-stop, what you know to be truth is challenged, what you believe in your heart is challenged.  The body has received so many mixed signals, it feels like a long island ice tea. All of humanity is in overload. All circuits are in busy.  Senses are so overworked  they are taking a leave of absence which creates that fuzzy disconnected feeling. Earth is at an intersection of time with no clear directions. The playing field of earth is being changed forever. It is becoming a clearing house of light and information for all Universes.

We are traveling in and out of time sequences, past present and future. No longer are we anchored and docked. The time fluctuations are accelerated when the sun shakes her golden locks and her explosive nature is seen  by all who are brave enough to look. We are being escorted into different time portals of experience and this will continue in a dramatic fashion for the next several years.

Earth is experiencing a Time-storm which is one of the side effects of disrupting the flow of time itself. When a wormhole travels close enough to a star during a Solar flare, its time-path may be altered. A side effect of this is Time Dilation. Time Dilation slows down or advances the speed of time, reversing time in a localized field.  Time is only altered within that field and not throughout the entire universe. This can slow down the progression of time to the point that one year would equal a thousand years outside the field. If we all think time has sped up and slowed down simultaneously this is the reason.

Solar cycles always play an important part in the ungradement of human consciousness. Solar activity is a catalyst for our evolutionary process. Solar light stimulates change in matter, energy, and consciousness. It pushes us into a higher position of knowing and the ability to integrate and use that knowledge for the betterment of all Universes. Evolutionary change is Sun driven. New energy is coming from deep space via this Solar portal.

Our Sun as the pulsing heart of this solar system, sends a twelve-faceted geometric light into every atom of its solar universe. The Sun is a portal which streams information in the form of light from other light/solar systems and worlds beyond ours.  It is a storehouse of vital energies and is considered to be the Great Heart.  Stars like our sun are the visible raiment’s of celestial beings.

Their inner aspects are invisible, just like ours. The sun is simply the heart and brain of our little Universe, The mighty heart of the solar system beats to a different drum disrupting and erupting time at any given moment. With each beat, the sun expels its accumulated light and energy through sunspots projecting to the remotest corners of the solar system. The sun feeds its family: just as the heart feeds the body.

Earth and all her inhabitants are living receivers and transmitters. Solar flares affect the Central Nervous System all brain activity (including equilibrium), and all human and animal behavior. Solar flares can cause us to be nervous, anxious, worrisome, jittery, irritable, and lethargic, have short-term memory loss, lose time, feel nauseous, headaches, trouble with all forms of communication–both human and technological. Solar activity illuminates consciousness causing old patterns to be consumed in Light.

Bringing in Positive Energy

Dr. Carmen Harra

Author, clinical psychologist and relationship expert

Banish Bad Energy From Everyday Life

Nature designed us as social creatures — we were meant to mingle, communicate constantly, and connect with each other on so many levels. It should come as no surprise, then, that in going about our everyday routines, we come into contact with hundreds of different energies: speaking with friends and family, listening to the many voices on TV, picking up tidbits of conversation from coworkers. Even asking the barista for your morning brew means you’re connecting!

Every energetic encounter, no matter how slight or fleeting, leaves an impression on our own field of energy. But what happens when we meet less-than-positive people and must merge with their dark disposition? This too comes with our daily dose of interaction, and since we can’t always help who’s around us, we must learn to block out energies that are detrimental to our morale. Follow my seven simple steps to banish bad energy from others and uplift your own energetic essence:

Identify who’s prone to a bad mood: Identify the people around you who are most likely to express negative energy. They might be under a lot of pressure, going through a difficult time, or just have a personality that lends a bad attitude. Some people simply see the glass as half empty rather than half full. And that’s fine for them, but their unstable temperament should not spill onto you.

Understand how their moods affect you: Analyze how their negative energy is depriving your own state of being, your emotions, and your ability to function. Once you acknowledge the impact, you’ll understand that their moods might be affecting you more than you think, leaving you physically and mentally drained. You may not realize it, but you absorb energies around you just as much as you absorb oxygen from the air.

Avoid those who give off bad energy: You should not have to “put up with” anyone’s bad mood on a daily basis, whether the person is your boss, family member, or spouse. If you know someone who is constantly low-spirited due to life circumstances or otherwise, it might be time for you to politely create a bit of space between you. You can’t run the other way whenever you see someone scowl, but you should shy away from people who emit chronic negativity and gravitate closer to those who praise a positive mindset.

Find a peaceful place: When you sense someone’s energy becoming toxic, try to retreat to a place of solitude. This might be your private office, your bedroom, even your car if you have nowhere else to go. The important thing is that you withdraw yourself from the unhealthy atmosphere and take a minute to recharge your own energy. When someone else’s energy is making you feel uncomfortable, try affirmations. You can say things like, “I love myself therefore I protect my energy from the harmful vibes of others.”

Create a shield of protection: Don’t allow others to tap into your field of energy; your energetic territory is your very own personal space of being, and very few people should have access to this private part of your self. If you’re an open person who invites others into your “energy bubble,” you grant them the opportunity to modify your mood and mold your well-being to their liking. Remember that when someone enters your energy field, their own state of being doesn’t trail far behind. If you feel this happens to you often, keep your energetic doors closed to invaders.

Practice pure energy: Your energetic levels determine the precious, sometimes irreversible decisions you make. And if your energy is foggy from the emotional fumes of others, you may not always make the best decisions. In unpleasant situations, seek solutions through healing, high-spirited methods rather than through destructive, unruly emotions. Your problems may reach the same resolutions whether you utilize logic or desperation, but you will waste much more energy employing the latter.

Keep your own emotions in check: Just as we exercise our bodies, we must also exercise our emotions. We often believe we don’t have the power to control our emotions, but we do! We tend to enable our emotions by feeding into the negative ones like anger, jealousy, and sadness. Instead, we need to control our negative emotions before they take control of us. Practice keeping your emotions within a normal range in order to keep them healthy and stable. Our greatest mistakes are made in moments of anger, which raises adrenaline levels and takes hold of our actions. Remember that the more you enable anger, the more the nerve cells of your brain evoke this emotion. Similarly, the more you practice feelings of tranquility, unconditional love, and rational thinking, the more you will slip naturally into these moods.

Though our moods fluctuate naturally, they should never flare up or plummet due to the negative influences of others. We must remember that, ultimately, feeling good begins within us, meaning we have to work hand in hand with our inner emotions to stay balanced. Take my seven simple steps into consideration the next time you connect to the energies of others–it might be very soon!

Sending you joyful energy,

Fear Busting

8 Ways Overcoming Fear Can Improve Your Health

facing_fears17th August 2013

By Lissa Rankin MD

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

You already know how fear can paralyze you personally and professionally, rob you of your joy, and keep you from going after your dreams. But did you know it can also make you sick? Whenever your mind feels fear, it triggers the “fight-or-flight” stress response in your body, which disables your body’s natural self-repair mechanisms and makes you more susceptible to illness. But never fear (no pun intended). Here are a few tips for living a healthier, happier life by overcoming fear.

Understand that fear is primal.

It originates from the lizard brain of your amygdala and exists as an adaptive mechanism meant to save your life. But in modern society, fear is a warning signal gone haywire. Most of what you fear – losing a loved one, money, or a relationship, for example – isn’t actually threatening your life, though it may be threatening your sense of security.  You may not be able to ditch the emotion of fear, but you can make the choice not to let it run the show anymore.

Assess your fears to determine whether they’re helpful or harmful

If you’re afraid of crashing on the rocks when you consider jumping off a cliff, your fear is probably valid. But if you’re afraid to write the book you dream of writing because you’re afraid of failure, fear is only getting the way.  Sometimes fear shows up as a valuable intuition, but often, it’s just an agent of self-sabotage. Learning to tell the difference can make all the difference.

Recognize that fear often masquerades as protection

Consider how many times you make decisions because of the “just in case.” Remember that “just in case” is fear masquerading as self-preservation. But it’s still fear, and it’s still harmful to your health.

Consciously dissociate from fear

Once you realize that fear often hurts you more than it protects you, and once you realize that fear is a primal emotion originating from your lizard brain, it’s easier to notice your fear from a distance, rather than letting it have its way with you and dictate your decisions.  Try giving your fear a name. (I call mine “The Gremlin”  and Martha Beck calls it her “Inner Lizard.”) Visualize it as a beast separate from you. Then pat it on the head and reassure it that you’ve assessed the situation, all is well, and there’s no need to be frightened.

Identify the voice of your faith

Then invite your faith to beat the crap out of your fearOnce you can identify the voice of your fear, see if you can tap into the voice of your faith. (I call it your “Inner Pilot Light” , that always radiant, perpetually sparkly, totally authentic voice that’s always inside of you.)

Trust that, no matter what happens, you can handle it

Susan Jeffers, author of Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway, says that beneath all our other fears lies one root fear – “I can’t handle it.” But deep down, you know you can. Trust that deep knowing.

Ask for guidance

If you can’t identify who should win – your Gremlin or your Inner Pilot Light, seek Divine guidance. Ask for Signs from the Universe and learn to interpret the answers.

Surround yourself with courageous people

When you surround yourself with fearful people, they can’t help projecting their fears onto you, and you can get dragged down into the muck unwittingly. But when brave people who take risks surround you, you’ll feel inspired to be more brave yourself.

When you tap into your faith and find your courage, you’re likely to still feel fear, but you’ll no longer be ruled by it. When you tap into your faith and learn to overcome your fears, your brain halts the stress response and triggers the relaxation response. When the relaxation response is activated, the body can once again heal itself.

Are You Ready To Be Brave?

What fear is holding you back? What courageous action can you take today to show your fear to the door?

Why are we attracted to specific colors and what do they mean spiritually?

Visible Light Frequencies

According to David Icke, we are only capable of seeing a limited range of colors and we are unable to see the frequency range beyond visible light.  Icke believes that certain races of extraterrestrial beings called Reptilians operate on a different frequency outside visible light and manipulate our current reality through Illuminati families.

Colors Beyond The Veil

Through Near Death Experiences, we have heard numerous times about people who temporarily passed on to the other side and upon their return, have stated that they saw various indescribable colors that we are unable to see within our current light frequency.

Photoreceptor Cells

Many people believe that dogs can only see in black and white, but  the truth is, they can see limited colors as they only have approximately 20% of the cone photoreceptor cells that humans have. Photoreceptor cells are the part of the eye that controls our perception of color.

Our bodies have seven energy receptors of life force and prana called chakras. Each chakra vibrates and responds to a different color. The word, chakra, is Sanskrit and means "wheel" or "turning, but in yogic context, chakra means 'vortex' or 'whirlpool'.

Chakras

Our bodies have seven energy receptors of life force and prana called chakras.  Each chakra vibrates and responds to a different color.  The word, chakra, is Sanskrit and means “wheel” or “turning, but in yogic context, chakra means ‘vortex’ or ‘whirlpool’.

In her book, True Balance, by Sonia Choquette, she mentions how to use the color green if you are sad or depressed.  A non-spiritual Crystals and Gemstonesdescription of this color is often associated with envy (as in green with envy) but Choquette advises to go outside in nature and observe all of the ‘green’ around you because through nature and the predominance of the color green, it will lift your spirits.

When the heart center is balanced, we actually establish energetic resonance with others, entering into a common vibration. We’ve all had these spontaneous heart-based connections, such as when we encounter someone we instantly like or feel as though we’ve known in the past. The Universe is a hologram aware of all of its parts at all times, and when we move into our heart chakra, we shift into this holographic vibration. This allows the Universe to fill any void that we may be experiencing in our life, giving us exactly what we need, brining us our heart’s desire.

Sonia Choquette, from her book, True Balance

Your lower three chakras govern your physical drives and urges in this 3rd dimensional reality while the upper four chakras are more spiritual

in nature.  In order to clearly access the upper four chakras, one needs to work on his or her lower three chakras through ‘chakra clearing’.

I have several Himalayan Salt Lamps which exude an orangish-yellow color and help to keep my lower chakras in balance while eliminating negative ions within a specific range of my lamps.  My daughter has a slight case of asthma which is immediately eradicated when she’s near her Himalayan salt lamp. When lit, the color of the Himalayan Salt Lamp strongly resonates with your sacral and solar plexus chakras.

Honoring The Elements

Many indigenous cultures not only honor all aspects of life, but directions as well.  Each direction of north, south, east and west have a corresponding element and color:

Crystals and Gemstones

Certain colored gemstones and crystals have specific properties and benefits, many of which align to either your chakras or to similar descriptive benfits as the candle colors:

Auras

While some people may be able to pass a lie detector test, your aura will never lie. According to wiki, the aura is “a field of subtle, luminous radiation surrounding a person”.

You can learn how to see your aura here: How to See Your Aura: Tips and Tricks!

The colors of your aura reflect the same colors as your chakras.  For example, if your aura is red, orange or yellow, it shows that there are some physical, mental or sexual areas in your life that need addressing. Once your lower root chakras are balanced, you’ll begin seeing an aura that will be green, blue, indigo or violet, which correspond to the heart, throat, 3rd eye and crown chakra.  While many people will have differing opinions on the ideal aura color, it is this writer’s opinion that green shows the most balance.  Please keep in mind that there are no “bad” aura colors as each color has a lesson to teach us about ourselves.

For more on what each aura color means, please see: How to Read Auras: What is the Meaning of Each Color?

The colors you use in every day life, whether they are in the clothes you’re wearing right now, the color of your car or even the color you painted your walls, can tell a lot about you.

Remembering Dreams

Why Some Remember Dreams, Others Don’t

People who tend to remember their dreams also respond more strongly than others to hearing their name when they’re awake, new research suggests.

Everyone dreams during sleep, but not everyone recalls the mental escapade the next day, and scientists aren’t sure why some people remember more than others.

To find out, researchers used electroencephalography to record the electrical activity in the brains of 36 people while the participants listened to background tunes, and occasionally heard their own first name. The brain measurements were taken during wakefulness and sleep. Half of the participants were called high recallers, because they reported remembering their dreams almost every day, whereas the other half, low recallers, said they only remembered their dreams once or twice a month.

When asleep, both groups showed similar changes in brain activity in response to hearing their names, which were played quietly enough not to wake them.

However, when awake, high recallers showed a more sustained decrease in a brain wave called the alpha wave when they heard their names, compared with the low recallers.

“It was quite surprising to see a difference between the groups during wakefulness,” said study researcher Perrine Ruby, neuroscientist at Lyon Neuroscience Research Center in France.

The difference could reflect variations in the brains of high and low recallers that could have a role in how they dream, too, Ruby said.

Who remembers their dreams

A well-established theory suggests that a decrease in the alpha wave is a sign that brain regions are being inhibited from responding to outside stimuli. Studies show that when people hear a sudden sound or open their eyes, and more brain regions become active, the alpha wave is reduced.

In the study, as predicted, both groups showed a decrease in the alpha wave when they heard their names while awake. But high recallers showed a more prolonged decrease, which may be a sign their brains became more widely activated when they heard their names.

In other words, high recallers may engage more brain regions when processing sounds while awake, compared with low recallers, the researchers said.

While people are asleep, the alpha wave behaves in the opposite way —it increases when a sudden sound is heard. Scientists aren’t certain why this happens, but one idea is that it protects the brain from being interrupted by sounds during sleep, Ruby said.

Indeed, the study participants showed an increase in the alpha wave in response to sounds during sleep, and there was no difference between the groups.

One possibility to explain the lack of difference, the researchers said, could be that perhaps high recallers had a larger increase in alpha waves, but it was so high that they woke up.

Time spent awake, during the night

The researchers saw that high recallers awoke more frequently during the night. They were awake, on average, for 30 minutes during the night, whereas low recallers were awake for 14 minutes. However, Ruby said “both figures are in the normal range, it’s not that there’s something wrong with either group.”

Altogether, the results suggest the brain of high recallers may be more reactive to stimuli such as sounds, which could make them wake up more easily. It is more likely a person would remember their dreams if they are awakened immediately after one, Ruby said.

However, awakening at night can account for only a part of the differences people show in remembering dreams. “There’s still much more to understand,” she said.

The study is published online today (Aug. 13) in the journal Frontiers in Psychology.
