Large Hadron Collider Could Detect Extra Dimensions

A paper in Physics Letters B has raised the possibility that the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) could make a discovery that would put its previous triumph with the Higgs Boson in the shade. The authors suggest it could detect mini black holes. Such a finding would be a matter of huge significance on its own, but might be an indication of even more important things.

Few ideas from theoretical physics capture the public imagination as much as the “many-worlds hypothesis,” which proposes an infinite number of universes that differ from our own in ways large and small. The idea has provided great fodder for science fiction writers and comedians.

However, according to Professor Mir Faizal from the University of Waterloo, “Normally, when people think of the multiverse, they think of the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, where every possibility is actualized,” he said to Phys.org. “This cannot be tested and so it is philosophy and not science.” Nonetheless, Faizal considers the test for a different sort of parallel universes almost within our grasp.

“What we mean is real universes in extra dimensions,” says Faizal. “As gravity can flow out of our universe into the extra dimensions, such a model can be tested by the detection of mini black holes at the LHC.”

The idea that the universe may be filled with minute black holes has been proposed to explain puzzles such as the nature of dark matter. However, the energy required to create such objects depends on the number of dimensions the universe has. In a conventional four-dimensional universe, these holes would require 1016 TeV, 15 orders of magnitude beyond the capacity of the LHC to produce.

String theory, on the other hand, proposes 10 dimensions, six of which have been wrapped up so we can’t experience them. Attempts to model such a universe suggest that the energy required to make these tiny black holes would be a great deal smaller, so much so that some scientists believe they should have been detected in experiments the LHC has already run.

So if no detection, no string theory? Not according to Faizal and his co-authors. They argue that the models used to predict the energy of the black holes in a 10-dimensional universe have left out quantum deformation of spacetime that changes gravity slightly.

Whether this deformation is real is a rapidly developing question, but if it is, the paper argues that the black holes will have energy levels much smaller than in a four-dimensional universe, but about twice as large as that detectable for any test run so far. The LHC is designed to reach 14 TeV, but so far has only gone to 5.3 TeV, while the paper thinks the holes might be lurking at 11.9 TeV. In this case, once the LHC reaches its full capacity, we should find them.

Such a discovery would demonstrate the microscale deformation of spacetime, the existence of extra dimensions, parallel universes within them and string theory. If found at the right energy levels, the holes would confirm the team’s interpretation of a new theory on black hole behavior named gravity’s rainbow, after the influential novel. Such an astonishing quadruple revelation would transform physics, although the researchers are already considering the most likely flaws in their work if the holes prove elusive.

Additionally M6.6 is not very spectacular for PNG who gets regularly M7+ earthquakes. Houses in the jungle have also a lot of resistance against earthquakes

Update 12:49 UTC : We have no word yet from Chinese rescuers being send to Nepal. Nepal will need as much external SaR people as possible. They will have to be flown in from everywhere in the world. Chinese rescue workers are of course also working in China as a lot of damage has been inflicted in Tibet. China reported 7 people killed by this earthquake.

Important Update 10:09 UTC : Everything we have reported so far and counting already many fatalities (6 are reported in China) comes from the main populated town like Kathmandu. We have NO REPORT YET from the direct epicenter. Roads towards the hardest hit villages will almost certainly have been devastated and are at no use for rescue personnel. We expect major tragedies in these areas. It will take probably until tomorrow before we have news from the direct epicenter area. Sad, very sad.

Update 09:22 UTC : Reports are reaching us that the Base Camp of Mount Everest has been damaged seriously. Some people (number unsure have been killed – to be reconfirmed)

Update 09:20 UTC : As many as 10 people were killed in Nepal’s picturesque Pokhara area. If we overlook the situation we can tell that at this moment we have certainty that at least 100 people were killed during this earthquake. This count has not 1 person from the direct epicenter area.

Update 09:19 UTC : IANS reports that a total of five people, including two children, were killed when buildings collapsed in different parts of Bihar following the earthquake. The two children of the same family died in a wall collapse in Bhagalpur. One person each were killed in Sitamarhi, Darbhanga and Vaishali.

Update : Cell phone service is paralyzed throughout Nepal (Tamil news). Strong aftershocks are expected. In fact a M5.5 just happened a few minutes ago. Also aftershocks are expected to be more devastating.

Update : Dr. James Daniel has put all data in his theoretical model and expects in between 1400 and 7500 fatalities. To be trusted shaking intensities are still missing so these numbers are still raw estimates.

I have yet to meet a Physician that will sign this form now downloaded by hundreds of parents. The reason they won’t sign is two-fold: First, they do not want to place themselves in a vulnerable position of being negligent for not providing informed consent to thousands of other parents; and second, many of them realize after their own extensive research that the risks far outweigh any benefits when it comes to vaccination.

Many physicians won’t even look at the form while they dismiss a parent’s anti-vaccination stance as ridiculous. They are not open-minded to any other side of the debate except their own biased view passed down through the medical system.

Then are those Physicians who have questioned the vaccination schedules and will pursue their own research. Many of them are now awakening themselves thanks to ongoing research and pressure from parents and even other colleagues to look at other perspectives besides their own indoctrination. Hepatitis B

I understand that 60 percent of patients who are vaccinated for Hepatitis B will lose detectable antibodies to Hepatitis B within 12 years. I understand that in 1996 only 54 cases of Hepatitis B were reported to the CDC in the 0-1 year age group. I understand that in the VAERS, there were 1,080 total reports of adverse reactions from Hepatitis B vaccine in 1996 in the 0-1 year age group, with 47 deaths reported.

I understand that 50 percent of patients who contract Hepatitis B develop no symptoms after exposure. I understand that 30 percent will develop only flu-like symptoms and will have lifetime immunity. I understand that 20 percent will develop the symptoms of the disease, but that 95 percent will fully recover and have lifetime immunity.

I understand that 5 percent of the patients who are exposed to Hepatitis B will become chronic carriers of the disease. I understand that 75 percent of the chronic carriers will live with an asymptomatic infection and that only 25 percent of the chronic carriers will develop chronic liver disease or liver cancer, 10-30 years after the acute infection. The following scientific studies have been performed to demonstrate the safety of the Hepatitis B vaccine in children under the age of 5 years.

I have Celiac Disease symptoms in the USA, but not in Italy or most places in Europe that regulate their food and lean “bio” or organic.

The incidence of Celiac Disease and Gluten Intolerance and all the gut-wrenching, bloating, and autoimmune disorders it can cause has exploded over the past 10-15 years, and now we may know why.

I began having symptoms like terrible stomach and gut pain, severe bloating (five pounds of fluid in an hour that lasts for days), fatigue, joint pain, rapid weight loss, migraines and malnutrition in the Midwest right when these herbicides began being used in my beloved Heartland, and now they’re used all over—and much more.

As someone close to the farming process and those who farm, including friends whose farms were bought out by Monsanto, making them employees of this behemoth, I can tell you that there are many other chemicals used in planting, during the growth phase and pre and post-harvest. Researchers are focusing on one in particular, a chemical in Monsanto’s herbicide Roundup named glyphosate. This toxic compound has been shown to cause Celiac-like symptoms in animals.

Since glyphosate-based herbicides appeared on the market in the 1970s, the incidence of Celiac in America have skyrocketed by 400 percent.

Coincidence? Or maybe much more.

As someone who grew up in the Midwest where Monsanto and their herbicides began moving into our food supply—and as someone who developed this disease at the exact same time, after being alive for 15 years without any symptoms whatsoever, I can tell you this company is no joke and they don’t care about your health—just the bottom line.

They and other companies like them are the factory farms of vegetables and grains.

If we as yogis or supporters of small, family, organic farms and if we are at all concerned about the wellness of ourselves and if we wouldn’t let our children eat Oscar Mayer hot dogs three times a day, or give them a spoonful of herbicide once a year—then why are we participating in, and then mystified when strange illnesses begin presenting themselves after a few years of eating those “regular old” bagels, pasta, muffins and tofu?

Now, I’m aware that there are genetic markers for Celias Sprue (aka Celiac Disease), and some people are absolutely unable to ingest wheat or other gluten-containing products. I’m not advising you to go to Italy with me and chow down on a fettucini Alfredo, and I know other countries, including Italy, are exhibiting Celiac as well.

However, it’s worth noting that many, many people without the genetic marker are reacting to gluten. And some with the genetic marker, myself included, react far worse to conventional or GMO or sprayed wheat, corn and soy, than non-GMO and non-chemicalized product. In countries like Italy, where GMO and chemicals are not as ubiquitous as in the States and Canada, we see the disease rearing its ugly head at a fraction of what it is here.

I believe all people, whether you are exhibiting symptoms or not, would do well to cease their support of non-organic foods containing pesticides, herbicides, hormones, antibiotics and other crap.

I believe we are intelligent enough to stop arguing about the fact that we should no longer swallow—or support companies that spray their products with things that kill life forms like insects, plants and animals–and, quite possibly—us too.

Our bodies are trying to get us to listen to the simple fact that we cannot continue arguing Mother Nature.

She will always win.

Pennsylvania Smart Meter Awareness (PASMA) just issued a second Press Release, in as many days, regarding astounding information from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Agency on Research for Cancer (IARC) regarding the radiofrequency radiation that AMI Smart Meters (SMs) emit. Guess what? Those Radioelectromagnetic Fields (RFs) coming off SMs are classified as “possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B).” Holy cow! Who knew? Did you?

Anyone who’s recently received a new electric or water meter better check to see if it’s an AMI digital SM because, if it is, you are getting RF Group/class 2B possible carcinogens being transmitted into your homes minute-by-minute! Utility customers, who are in-the-know about the WHO/IARC information and have refused SMs, are being threatened with power cutoffs, even though their electric bills are paid in full.

The Pennsylvania state legislature IS at fault for this grave error in judgment in passing former HB2200 into PA Act 129 of 2008 since members did not take into consideration that they were mandating constituents be subject to something in the same carcinogenic classification as mercury, lead and benzene!

With that being said, Pennsylvania state legislators need to pass corrective legislation immediately—as other states should too—to allow for legal opt-outs, and better still, for total dismantling of Smart Meters on any utility company meters. Go back to RF-free analog meters!

With the current rate of cancer in the USA escalating daily, Pennsylvania citizens should not have to live in fear of contracting, nor have 24/7/365 exposure to a class 2 carcinogen from their electric/water meters and through their house wiring. Lastly, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine published its “Recommendations Regarding Electromagnetic and Radiofrequency Exposure” wherein they state:

The AAEM recommends that physicians consider patients’ total electromagnetic exposure in their diagnosis and treatment, as well as recognition that electromagnetic and radiofrequency field exposure may be an underlying cause of a patient’s disease process.

AAEM goes on to list health problems associated with RF/electromagnetic/microwave frequencies. Pennsylvania Board of Health, please take note, too.

IARC CLASSIFIES RFs POSSIBLY CARCINOGENIC TO HUMANS

The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), in a press release, classified Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields (RFs) as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B).

That classification was based upon increased risk for glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer associated with wireless (cell) phone use, and RFs which also are emitted from AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) Smart Meters, which PECO, an Exelon company, and other utilities in Pennsylvania currently are replacing vintage analog meters with.

The above designation was determined by a Working Group of 31 scientists from 14 countries at the IARC meeting in Lyon, France, in May 2011 that had assembled to assess the potential carcinogenic hazards from RF fields, including those from wireless communications, which includes Smart Meters.

The Chairman of the Working Group, Dr. Jonathan Samet (University of Southern California, USA) stated, “The evidence, while still accumulating, is strong enough to support a conclusion and the 2B classification. The conclusion means that there could be some risk, and therefore we need to keep a close watch for a link between cell phones and cancer risk.” Add AMI Smart Meter technology.

Any agent may be classified in 2B category solely on the basis of strong evidence from mechanistic and other relevant data, according to IARC. Mercury, lead, and benzene are W.H.O. class 2Bs also!

Why did then-Governor Ed Rendell sign into law Act 129 of 2008, an apparently illegal bill the Pennsylvania State Legislature passed that mandates Pennsylvanians should be subjected to cancer-causing radiofrequency technology? It seems either utility company lobbyists were effective in Harrisburg and/or Pennsylvania legislators did not exercise due diligence; defaulted on doing responsible homework regarding AMI Smart Meters technology; and—more importantly—did not engage the Precautionary Principle to safeguard the health of Pennsylvania citizens.

PASMA is calling on both chambers of the current 2015 Pennsylvania legislative session to immediately correct Act 129 by providing and enacting Opt-Out legislation for those who do not want, fear, or have medical reasons. Citizens should NOT have AMI Smart Meters FORCED on to them and their properties. Utility companies are harassing and threatening owners with cut off service if they do not give permission to replace RF-free analog meters with RF-emitting AMI Smart Meters.
The EM-Radiation Research Trust advises W.H.O./ IARC to move RFs from class 2B to class 1!

News broke early morning April 9, 2015 that a giant cloud of methane has been detected over Southern Colorado / Northern New Mexico near the Four Corners region where Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico meet.

NASA + NOAA , as well as several other organizations are puzzled about the source of the methane.. blaming natural causes, and coal operations?

Maybe they don’t have access to Google Earth, which might explain why they don’t know the “cause” of the giant methane cloud. Watch video below…

Genetically-modified food is one of the most controversial subjects today. Not only are regulations loose and manufacturers getting away with not labeling them, they’re being approved at an alarmingly swift rate without the appropriate long-term health assessment. The Food and Drug Administration recently approved of two GMO foods, potatoes and apples, as safe and equally nutritious as conventional varieties, and they’re pushing to get these items to a grocery store near you.

The new approval is covering six varieties of potatoes and two varieties of apples. [1] The potatoes come from Idaho from the J. R. Simplot Co., and the apples come from Canadian company Okanagan Specialty Fruits, Inc. Fortunately for the health food movement, McDonald’s, a long-time client of J. R. Simplot Co., is no longer purchasing from the company, opting out of using GMO potatoes for its food.

ConAgra is another big-name company that supplies potatoes for restaurants all across the world, and it is also in line with consumer demand for non-GMO potato varieties. While french fries and hash browns are certainly not health fare, it does go to show how companies listen and respond to the desires of consumers. In order to keep up the fight against GMOs and keep them out of our food supply, we need to continue advocating for labeling laws that will help us, as consumers, differentiate between natural food and Frankenfood.

What You Can Do

Along with contacting the FDA and urging them to look into labeling laws, there are a few things you can do to get the ball moving. Buying organic as much as possible shows companies that consumers are demanding more natural, non-GMO foods. Consumer research into buying trends weigh heavily on the actions of companies in producing their products, so vote with your pocketbook by buying as many of your products as natural as possible.

NY Cops Used ‘Stingray’ Spy Tool 46 Times Without Warrant

The police department in Erie County, New York fought hard to prevent the New York Civil Liberties Union from obtaining records about its use of a controversial surveillance tool known as a stingray.

The reason why may be because of what the records show: that cops in that county, which includes the city of Buffalo, used the devices 47 times since 2010 but only once sought and obtained a court order to do so. That revelation contradicts what the county sheriff said last year when he asserted that the department only used the devices under “judicial review.”

In the single case in which police sought permission from a court, they asked for a court order rather than a warrant, which carries a higher burden of proof. And in their request, they mischaracterized the true nature of the tool.

“These records confirm some of the very worst fears about local law enforcement’s use of this expensive and intrusive surveillance equipment.”

The records, which the NYCLU published in a blog post today, also show that the county sheriff’s office signed a stringent gag order with the FBI to maintain secrecy about their stingray records. The department was told to withhold information about the devices in any documents filed with courts, such as affidavits and other documents describing how they obtained evidence in criminal cases. The department was even told that the FBI maintained the right to intervene in county prosecutions to request criminal cases be dismissed if there was a chance that a case might result in the disclosure of information about law enforcement’s use of stingrays.

“Stingrays are an advanced surveillance technology that can sweep up very private information, including information on innocent people,” NYCLU Western Region Director John Curr III said in a statement. “If the FBI can command the Sheriff’s Office to dismiss criminal cases to protect its secret stingrays, it is not clear how the $350,000 we are spending on stingray equipment is keeping the people of Buffalo safer.”

The revelations continue a trend in several states across the U.S. wherein law enforcement agencies have gone to great lengths to prevent the public from learning about their use of stingrays. The surveillance tool simulates a legitimate cell phone tower to trick mobile phones and other devices on a cellular network into connecting to the devices and revealing their location. Stingrays emit a signal that is stronger than the signal of other cell towers in the vicinity in order to force mobile phones and other devices to establish a connection with them and reveal their unique ID. Stingrays can then determine the direction from which the phone connected— a data point that can then be used to track the movement of the phone as it continuously connects to the fake tower.

Many police departments have signed non-disclosure agreements with the Harris Corporation, one of the leading makers of the devices, to prevent them from releasing records about the systems or discussing them. In Florida, the U.S. Marshals service went so far as to seize records about a local police department’s use of stingrays in order to prevent the American Civil Liberties Union from obtaining them. And many law enforcement agencies have deceived judges about their use of the devices in order to prevent defendants and the public from learning about how they’re being used.

Erie County similarly fought hard to prevent the NYCLU from obtaining these records but was ordered to turn them over by a court. The documents show that the sheriff’s office used stingrays at least 47 times between May 1, 2010 and October 3, 2014. The one time the department sought judicial approval was in October 2014, contrary to what Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard said in May, 2014: that the devices were used under “judicial review” in all criminal matters, implying that investigators always seek court approval before using them.

Not only this, but the records show that when the department did seek a court order, they identified the spy tool they planned to use as a pen register device, not a stingray or cell site simulator. The use of the term “pen register device” is controversial. Law enforcement agencies maintain that stingrays operate like pen registers and are not invasive, but this doesn’t paint the picture. Pen registers record the numbers dialed from a specific phone number, but stingrays are used primarily to track the location and movement of a device and can be much more invasive than pen registers. By describing the tool as a pen register device to the judge, the law enforcement agency was withholding information about the full capability of the device.

In fact, the public has yet to learn exactly how much these surveillance tools can really do, due to the secrecy around them. Recently, a federal agent admitted to a court that stingrays have the ability to disrupt cellular communications for any device in its vicinity, not just the ones targeted by law enforcement. And there are also stingray devices that have the ability to collect the content of phone calls, though U.S. law enforcement agencies have often insisted that the ones they use have this capability disabled.

Although there’s still much more the public should know about how and when law enforcement uses this invasive spying tool, it’s clear departments will continue to do everything in their power to keep the public, and judges, in the dark.

Varicose veins are blood vessels that have become enlarged and tortuous. Varicose veins usually happen in the legs and is associated with chronic inflammation and poor circulation. You must de-flame the body to reduce and eliminate varicose veins.  Garlic is a great remedy for varicose veins. It can break down the protein content in the body and distribute it evenly. This increases the protein supply to the lower limb region.

How to make Garlic oil to Treat Varicose Veins Naturally

Ingredients:

  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 3 oranges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Finely slice 6 cloves garlic, put them in a clean jar with lid, then add the juice of 3 oranges and  2 tablespoons olive oil

Allow to  sit for 12 hours before you use it.

Shake well before use

In the evening, pour several  drops of garlic mixture on fingers, and rub it on the areas of concern  with a circular motion.  Put a plastic bag and wrap the legs with bandage or a warm cloth. Repeat every night.
